Straight to tribunal 8-10 weeks. Strong message needs to be sent, maybe staker should take it further with authorities, it is assualt when you intently punch someone in the face.

He has no points hanging over him, as all his priors (of which there are a fair few from Saints days) fall outside the three-year limit to increase his penalty.
He can't claim concussion as that would be an automatic 50k fine on the club under the Tribunal rules, whereby a concussed player can't take the field.

Unprovoked roundhouse hook flush on the jaw. Describe what would get 4 or more weeks.

Reported this morning that Staker's parents will consider legal action against Hall if he doesn't get a lengthy suspension. They want him rubbed out for the year.

Well...the AFL should take note of parents' wishes shouldn't they.....

When was the last time we saw a hit like this in AFL?

There may be a temptation to give him a heavier penalty than he deserves. If we accept that objectively he deserves about 6 weeks, the tribunal may go for more than that because he'll be out anyway and it won't cause too much controversy. They can send a strong deterrent without really punishing anyone. A law suit against Hall isn't the best advertisment for the game either and no doubt the AFL will do all they can to avoid that.

I like Baz but that's deserving of 10 weeks, one thing that should be looked at is that it was done in the 1st 1/4 and he can't claim that it was accidental, therefore there's nothing stopping a player taking out a gun player from the other team at the start of a match while the offender plays on. Wont mention any names from SANFL history :D

Hearing news reports this morning that were telling the world that his Mum wanted to press charges... FFS, keep Mum's out of it! As if the response would be anything other than emotional. Let the tribunal deal with it and onward we go.

i think he should get 5 and no more. I am a crows supporter but Bickleys hit on Wakelin was much worse than this and he only got 5 so it would be sad to see Bazza get more than that.

Beau Waters to get the captaincy for being the only bloke to stick up for his team mate

Staker's mum to get 25 K from New Idea for selling her story on the anguish of watching her son
get smacked one...

Hall should get a suspension on top of his injury time out.

So say, 6-8 weeks for his wrist to recover, then suspend him for another 6.

So this would leave him out of the game for up to over half the season..........

Hunter's form was poor. Almost could see him starting to cry on the fall to the ground.

Depends if he goes before the tribunal or not.

If it doesnt, then the most he gets I think is 4, maybe 5 if his previous record pushes his points over.

If it goes to the tribunal, then he should really get 6 at least. Possibly more.

When I first read what had happened I thought they were wrestling with each other and he clocked him one. But to turn around like that, Staker wouldnt have known it was coming at all and thump him, was pretty poor. You can tell Hall used to be a boxer.
