my car stolen...be warned

I had a VK. It got broken into once (the thieves broke with windows with the Cobra alarm stickers on to get in) at home when I lived in North Adelaide and stolen from there once, broken into again in Tynte Street and finally stolen from my home in Nailsworth (just opposite NAFC) nine years ago, never to be seen again.

At that time, older Commodores were the top of the list - and it looks like they still are so it surprises me that they're still going missing given their history and the fact people with these cars have been warned. Sorry to hear you've lost yours* bayman, it's really distressing at the time and extremely inconvenient. I'm assuming mine went across the border as it was in very good nick or it was stripped down and sold off in bits.

Sorry to hear that Bayman, I guess at least it wasn't burnt out but knowing and dealing with this scum, it probably would have been better if they had, no doubt the living hell would have been thrashed out of it.

No where is safe these days or nights, has been an increase of vehicles stolen overnight from peoples driveways and even from behind their roller doors or from the garages whilst they sleep, getting to the stage one will have to take the battery out or a wheel or two off everytime you are out of the vehicle

Yes I have had a car damaged an old 81 sigma twice in fact someone stuffed the door locks.Well the second time just the drivers side .In the end I always left her unlocked and no one WOULD take her  .
If we are going to point fingers why are the guys who get caught growing drugs in MY ARERA always from the richer side of ADELAIDE!!
Makes you think no one is different form each other.

OK back on to cars had my 96 falcon for just over a year. The only ground someone did something to it was at UNLEY they tried to knick the LPG number plates!!.

What would be a better stat is where the offenders come from, as well as how many offenders in total. I'll bet there are heaps of offences attributed to just a few - including the culprits that don't get caught. That of course does not mean to say that everyone is an offender in a particular area, such as what people in the "coffee latte areas" like to believe.

i've spoken to the police today & the car is fine, with no damage & even little baymans tiger cub cap & my jumper were still in the car, i get it back tomorrow, i can tell you 'the gang of 49' are the expected culpritts according to the police but even when the police catch them for any of these crimes they commit we all know it'll be a slap on the wrist & that'd be it
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Bad news Bayman

Had my Holden stolen from Torrens Parade Ground by our Operation Mandrake friends. Got used in an attempted robbery on the North Adelaide Football Cub but the neighbours called the cops and they were arrested.

had several cars pinched over the last 20 years.....its the worst feeling ever when you get where your car WAS and its not there. I had my torana pinched from the footy park car park once after a prelim final. The only good thing about that is we won against norwood to reach the 86 granny.

it wasnt the gang of 49.....they leave a sh1t smeared on the dash and the windscreen.............
