Heard last week that he is having a few personal issues, mainly to do with the health of his ailing father...

One would assume he may still be over in Ceduna (I think that's where his father is) so I guess you'd have to question if, and at all, when he'll be back ???

Maggies fans would have to be a little concerned that with his mind state the way it his, he may not have been focused on maintaining his already questionable fitness level during this time off ?

I'm certainly not knocking him, but I reckon we've either seen the end of Byron with the Maggies and the SANFL or he will come back, eventually and struggle to get his fitness back up again... ??

I hope I'm proved wrong and honestly look forward to seeing Choppy back, giving out some of his customary hard hits once again...

Hope all turns out well with Byron and his family as Im a big fan of his.

Back onto the game, Port are favs with the bookies. Im plonking a 50 on North.
Last years GF club who has a great record at Alberton against a team who didnt make the 5. No doubt that it is good value IMHO.
Im hoping for my wallets sake both Port teams lose as favs.

Thurgood and Krakouer are big outs for Port, so North 21 - 30.

Rugolo is a big out too, whilst not getting much of the footy last week, he does a lot of little things, plenty of blocks , smothers and tackles.

Some good signs last week with Kirkwood playing well in his first senior game and Xavier Watson had a heap of it... Good signs

Good to see Port rewarding the youngsters in Taylor & Wait for their consistancy shown in the Bs,
The reason they lost Wait last year was because of no feedback & reward for showing consistancy.
Young Josh Taylor has really stepped up this year getting 2 BOGs & 1 2nd best in the last 3 games.
Good luck to both of them.

This is an an obvious question but WHY is this game being played on Sunday?????????
For Port supporters it overlaps with the Power and North play next Friday giving us less recovery time, not to mention the extended break for Centrals who we play next Friday have the bye this week and have 2 weeks off compared to Norths 5 days.
Am I missing something here, no one wins out of this, if the match was played at Alberton today you could expect a crowd of 5 to 6 thousand but instead it will be only around 3 thousand tomorrow.

For starters he'll miss at least 3 with injury and playing predominantly in a losing side means hes got no hope. Best you can hope for is 50-60.

As i said mate, if his team mates deliver the ball to him as they did last week he will kick 100+ easy, as for playing in a predominantly losing side, well its only round 4 so its a big call............

The old Port Adelaide is well and truly gone isn't it. I never thought i would see the day a Port supporter thinking anything less than a premiership was acceptable.

Fair enough. I wasn't having a go at you but i just think it is odd hearing Port supporters talk of anything less than premierships. I guess the success i have seen and the (justified) arrogance they have left a mark on me. The "we exist to win premierships" attitude seems to be fading a little.

Yes we all really know it's Ethelton v North, since Port Power is the Port Adelaide formerly of the SANFL!
Anyhow what heritage does the Ethelton Football Club have to offer? I'm not up to speed with them...or really that interested either!
Failure is only the opportunity to begin again more intelligently.
