How many bloody close games are we gonna lose. Poor kicking at crucial times costs us our 2nd win this year.

Disappointing.

We were terrible today, I have no idea how the hell we managed to win that but that will keep us up for next week I hope. It's going to be a tough one against the Dogs.

Great to win for the 5th year in a row at Alberton.

So who were the better players and goal kickers for the 2 teams today ?

I think I read somewhere else on here that North were once again down to no fit players on the bench, is this true ?

If so, I guess it brings back the topic me and Jars (and many others) have bought up before about having a 4th interchange player ?

So if there were a few injuries then, who where the players, how serious was it and will they be right to front next week ???

Younie, Motlop and one of the ruckmen.

We had Stewart our FF rucking for most of the 2nd half rucking, Younie was so stuffed that he pointed out to the umpire he had blood, Moltop and White both had leg injuries.

Unbelievable game, Port were IMHO a 5 goal better side today, North only won the game through pure heart. Port actually looked fitter, probably from having a bigger bench yet our guys never gave up the ghost.

5 in a row at Alberton now and each one seems to be special for different reasons.

So proud of the boys.

All Heart!!!

PS No chance on Friday.

PS Summerton was awesome today, easily BOG but Ladhams not too far behind him, Lads has probably been North's best player in all 3 games so far this year. J.Clayton played a great game but a mind explosion or two probably cost his side the game, can see why Port supporters insisted he not be captain.

How come is it that it always seems when a team has no players left on the bench, that team is North? Has to be that North is more desperate for the ball? Surely not because of the prevention/management of players injuries?

He's not going to be the Stephen Doyle of North Adelaide is he rod rooster ??? !!

Do you think he will be right for the Anzac Day clash or did it look pretty bad again :-k

Not asking because I think it will increase Central's chances, I really liked him at Melbourne and was looking forward to seeing him first hand ?

Looks like the Roosters will go into the game a little undermaned against a fresh Doggies outfit this Friday ?

GO U DOGGIES...

- Ward didn't come back on after 1/4 time (He could be another Koops!) .
- White went off during the first quarter and limped back for 5 minutes in the second but then hit the pine for the remainder of the day
- Stewart had a shoulder injury but came back on and took a good grab and kicked what turned out to be the winning goal. He should be right.
- Younie got a cut to the head and looked stuffed late on but should be right next week.
- Motlop limped off - probably his ankle (again!) and may miss although a week or two in the ressies couldn't hurt him!
- Allan also got battered late but battled on but could be in doubt as well but simply if it wasn't for his efforts then we would not have stayed in the game.

My North best were:

Allan
Alleway
McIntyre
Ladhams

North need to find another ruckman (Burford to the Ressies and Bring up Sam Baulderstone) and get the on ballers to play to the actual contest in the square although ironically we had the last centre clearances after getting smashed all day.

I thought Summerton was BOG - got heaps of it and thanks to Hargy's 5-5 (plus 1 out on the full) we managed to get up but god knows how we did win that in the end. However good sides hang in and win those games so I'll take 2-1 after 4 rounds considering how we are actually playing.

Winning however can hide a mulititude of sins and there are a few sinners in the 21 at present.

wont see Ward or White for weeks with Hammies, Motlop has a problem but aint letting it out on here, like everyone else has said, how did we get over the line, quit simple, never gave up, sheer guts, Port played at their best we played pretty close to our worst, bad kicking is bad footy and when youm have midfielders getting over 75 possessions (Port) and lose, there is a problem
