bouncers dont excist anymore..... they are crowd controllers
they are supposed to be there to keep everyone happy and make sure things run smoothly..... you will always get the odd hero who tries to bluff his way through..... most are genuinly nice people more than willing to assist you.

We have all been maggoted with our mates and need to be settled down on occasions (and even turfed out). Sometimes they make mistakes but generally they dont kick you out unless you have done something wrong.... some places are stricter than others as they can be depending on how busy they are.....

but like every form of life there is always a tool or two to give them a bad rep.

But what it boils down to is that if you are dressed in accordance and behave yourself you wont even know they are there.....

Nope, never. I have been mildly inebriated on a few occasions, but always behaved civilly.
I had a friend who worked his way through Uni as bouncer. He's a Gastroenterologist in Adelaide now.

Actually he was a very pleasant and quiet guy, who spoke to people politely.
On the other hand he was a weightlifter, about 195cm and 120Kg, and had a black belt in Karate.

most bouncers have a massive ego problem, but once many years ago i hurt my knee playing cricket, and later that night we went to the old Mcmahons tavern in salisbury. I only had a couple of beers so i wasnt drunk. My knee was killing me so i was sitting down all night, but when i went to go home my knee gave way and i fell over and before i could get up two bouncers pounced on me for being drunk and disorderly,but when they realised what had happened, they actually helped me to my car...... thats the only good bouncer storey i know.
