You were the one who kept pussy-footing around - come out and say what you were referring to from the start.

You seem to have no problem hiding behind an alias, and having a crack at someone on here. Now thats disgraceful. And gutless.

You are were obviously at the game, and are around the club a fair bit. Why dont you go and tell the bloke in question what you think...yeah right, didnt think so ! :butthead:

From my view, getting sent off is never good, but plenty of other guys have been sent off before. Lots of guys made mistakes on Saturday.

Bob, I didnt see the game tell me what the coach did to get sent off. He is very big on discipline so if he was sent off, i would suggest he would have lost a fair bit of respect from the players.

Good, all i wanted to hear is that you were not happy with what he did. Im glad we share that opinion, im sorry i had to get you all fired up for you to come out and say it. Maybe the reason i did pussy-foot around was to limit the amount of dirt that would get put on the cub.

Slots, basically m8 he did enough to get sent off... end of story.

Bob thats not a good enough answer, i have seen people sent of for something as trivial as a late tackle, was it like that or did he belt someone out of frustration? What happened?

Read the Uddington Cricket Club site and Mickey McFinnigan scored a century first up.
My god - how bad must the bowling have been. Must have been a team of pie chuckers
for Mickey to get into double figures. Why cant he get double figures for Port. How bad
must that comp be. Pie chuckers. - sorry cant be all pie chuckers as Iron Fisty would have
eaten the last 12 pies if he saw em and pasties and sausages rolls and hamburgers.

Must have been playing on a postage stamp for Mickey to have
edged that many runs in one go. How do you edge a ton as he could
not have done it any other way. JUST NOT POSSIBLE
the standard must be worse than North havens fourths.
Just not possible - More possible for Fisty to eat 25 pies than Mickey
to score ton

1st round we lost at home to Portland by a few goals, we were disappointing but have alot of new players & is taking a little bit longer than 1st thought to gel but credit to Portland as they ran hard & held us at bay all day with their ruckman who had a huge leap giving their onballers 1st opportunity & they double our centre clearances so they will be hard to beat.

2nd round we had the opportuntity to play away on thebarton oval & WOW what an awesome experience as it truely is a great place to play footy so if any team gets a chance to play there jump at it as u wont be disappointed, oh about the game what a difference a week can be in footy as we only just managed to scrape over the line against Cbcoc by tune of 12 goals & still we have room for improvement scary! Cbcoc no'16 for them played a good game & reads it well out of the middle & around the contests but besides him & their captain no others really stood out for them in the game against us.

you guys definately need to fix that centre up, that cricket pitch is disgraceful!!!!

In the junior ranks we have 2 bobcats, a dingo, & 2 landscapers at our disposal. We've offered the council to lay a new ag pipe & backfill the area in front of the clubrooms, fill & turf the main area of the oval, & lay turf over the cricket pitch every winter & lift it for the cricketers at the end of the season all to no avail.
The council had a crack at it & have completely stuffed it up, wasting Christ know what on laying the ag pipe but backfilling with the wrong material. Turfing the front of the clubrooms & the holes on the oval but neglecting to compact the areas & do the early maintenance so the new turf is just struggling to survive & has all dropped creating ridges & holes. From what I hear there's a meeting between the SAAFL, the club & the council in the near future so hopefully something is done to at make the playing area safe again, but I fear that establishing new turf as the weather cools will be nigh on impossible.
Hey soccer you owe us 45million.

seems nothing changed at portland then, still blokes looking to blame others when things turn bad. they will get smashed by haven this week, and then have a whole heap of excuses afterwards - wake up

Hey Fisty will be at training for us tonight. He will waddle around the oval a few times
and then head for the canteen for a Schnita or 2 or 3. Sorry Thursday night that is.
Fisty will be back shortly, just getting some shorts to fit and we will be right

I don't think $$$Haven have much for opposition sides to worry about this year!
Haven were ok, they weren't as good as they were talked about earlier in the forum, their skills are not that polished, and there forwards are not that good.

We (lutherans) just ran out of legs in the last quarter, one bloke was concussed from a rather 'interesting' tackle, and was stretchered off, the other was our captain received a 'flying punch' tackle to the jaw, ALLEDGEDLY from M. Cox. He is out for 6 months. We had two other go down with hamstrings/groin injuries, so we didnt have a full team on the park. However, playing under lights was fantastic, i recommened that it happens more often, if the facilities at the ground can handle it!!

Looking forward to CBCOC this week, and hopefully with a few key in's, we will come away victorious!!
North havens light would have to be one of if not the best lights in amatuer footy!!
the oval has room for improvement or it did last season!
is it any better this year??

who layed this interesting tackle snake eyes???
'INTERESTING TACKLE' your a tit snake eyes. he pined his arms in a more than fair tackle & the F N Lutherans player unfortunatly hit his head on the turf! Wasnt Marc Cox who put the skipper out of action either. You cant use injuries for an excuse every team has them and will get them pretty sure the team you were up against finished the game with out a bench too.
Joompin, i understand your point, but our team finished without a bench because two blokes were in hospital, and two others had soft tissue injuries and couldn't run let alone walk... How many of North Haven guys ended up in hospital?? probably none...I am not using the injuries as an excuse, we lost one quarter, and that quarter lost us the game!!

PLus, i dont care who hit the skipper, i am going on information i was told. But do something like that is stupid and not within the spirit of the game....but none of that makes any difference now.

Shiny is ok, had to spend most of the night is hospital and had a CT scan as a precautionary measure, he will miss this week for sure. He played a little over 2 quarters, and still made the top 6. Best game he had played at the club until that point. The tackle may have been legit, but i am fairly sure the mentality of the player who tackled him was too hurt the player then to get the footy!!
