Wouldn't it be great if there could be rational discussion and analysis of the weekends games much like what happens at many workplaces on Monday mornings? Is it the anonymity of the internet that leads people ( all clubs ) to come up with just ridiculous, embarassing( to themselves as well as others ) garbage which they wouldn't say out on the mound or at work? A pipe dream I know but it would be so much more attractive to the true supporters to come and join in on here.
On friday night's game, of course injuries play a part ( as do many other factors ) but I think it showed how much is played between the ears ie. when North copped a couple of injuries early and we were in front it almost became a "fait accompli" there and then. The question though is why, the sporting world is littered with tales of triumph under adversity. Also if we can play like that why did we play so ineffectively against Glenelg and Port- valid reasons for those performances but a lot of it is between the ears.Anyway I look forward to an exciting season of SANFL footy and hope that the standard of contributions on here lifts to reflect that.
