Port Lincoln Football was severley affected by the horrible conditions. The three Licoln South supporters that did brave the conditions left at half time so they could catch the gate keepers to get their money back.
5 qauters Old man!! keep dreaming.... if Waybacks left and had a shower.
Put a line through Mallee Park they were shocking, As we said only two flag chances.
What were Bostons like this week?

The competitions in both leagues aren't to bad. Wouldn't read to much into the form after Saturdays results.
OL , correct me if Im wrong but LS had no goals to half time.... Lock had 2 and Cougars 1 in their game. The form can be totally disregarded in those conditions.
Port Lincoln has two teams superior then 3 teams fairly even.
Great Flinders has a standout team with not much between the others? What happened in your game Tips? it was the only one up there I didnt get too?

Grub SportsBet P.O.T.Y - W vs LS

Postby bluestheboy » Mon May 08, 2006 10:15 am

Saturdays votes 3. D Schuppan (W), 2. M. Goodwin, 1. A. Crouch (LS)...honorable mentions to D Moore who terrorised AN, TG who was gr8 defensively in the lst qtr and PW who was good all day for the Eagles...but Crouch was the one that got them going in the second half...also mention that Minya possibly would have secured his 2nd BOG in 2 weeks if he didnlt give me the sh##s on Saturday nite...

Bascombe out with knee for season, needs reconstruction,
Bryant out for season with a achillies, White has broken thumb and Rogers out indefinitely with his back.
Salary Caps have been entered by the clubs to the league, interesting to see Waybacks have spent the most, Tasmans a bit coming in 2nd. MR and LS not that much as I would have thought. Bostons cant have much money at all.

Good to hear D Moore held North well, I thought that could definitely be a telling point. Well done to W. Sounds like Souths wioll be OK.
Bascombe out with a knee? Man, that'll test Tassies.

Good luck with your recovery Tobasco. Would've been in tassies best 2 against Rangers first game. Will be hard to cover.
Play of the day Saturday was Mick Bilney's kick from centre wing that was intended to go to CHF. Got caught in the wind and dribbled out of bounds on the opposite back flank 20 metres behind where he kicked it and 80 metres sideways. The look on Mick's face was priceless.

He'd want to otherwise Joel fitz might feel a little peeved getting kicked out of FF. Didn't he kick a 100+ last year. Then again not going to hurt him playing another position. All good for his development i suppose.

Quite impressed with Farquarson playing at full back for Bostons. Takes a contested mark and shows a lot of dash running out of defence. Just didn't have much to kick to.

Thought it was a comparatively tame game at Poole on saturday from some of the clashes in the past. Hard but fair and both sides had a stack of kids playing

nah dont scrap it nothing illegal in it, just thought there might be a catch when someone actually gets it!!

should've thought about it earlier and had a PLFL tipping comp ran by safooty(grub) and had a $10 entry or something, oh well.

hopefully as you gather more info about the GFFL league you can post some odds about those games to

Odds for GFFL....Ramblers 1.00 Vs Any Other opponent 4.50..theres a starter for you grub.
Interesting odds about Paul Goodwin for the MM...they are similar odds on display at the club about his chances of playing this year...may go down in our great history as only the second captain in 103 years never to lead the troops into battle...

Votes for MR v B from Eski

3 - B Rynne
2 - J O'Brien
1 - S Tokarski

Give me $5 on B Rynne for the MM grub, he'd definitely have 6 votes already!!
