Yeah, 9th vs. 13th. Huge game

Ridiculous comment, any game that has 90000 is worth going to, always a good game with a great atmosphere and a louder crowd than Grand Final day.
If I had a choice of going to any game this weekend in the AFL I don't care where the teams are on the ladder, give me this game over any others easily.
Add into that Collingwood were easily the 2nd best side of last year and Essendon play an attractive style of footy and I can't wait! :D

Each to their own Wedgie. I'd prefer to watch two good sides play each other and not have to sit amongst Collingwood and Essendon fans. Regardless i wasn't commenting on attending the game but more so on NFC's comment regarding not going to Adelaide Oval because the 9th placed AFL side was playing the 13th placed AFL side on TV.

Correct me if i'm wrong but didn't you go to Thebarton last year in preference to watching Collingwood v Essendon on ANZAC Day?

Anyway enjoy your trip :drinkers: :partyman:

Exactly, so no need to roll your eyes at someone else's harmless/enthusiastic comment and be a smartarse.

Only because I take photos for this site and my brother in law is in the army and was there, certainly no other reasons, from a spectator's point of view I would have much preferred to be watching Collingwood v Essendon. Every SANFL Anzac Day game Ive been too this century has been a yawn fest.

Also no need to suggest another persons opinion is "ridiculous" as it differs from yours.

If you make a smartarse rude post to another poster you're going to cop that, get over it.
Your comment was no different to saying the SANFL Anzac Day will be crap as its 5th to bottom versus 6th to bottom. ie RIDICULOUS
Im sick of people attacking other's opinions and then getting all uppity when they cop the same.

I'll be going to Norwood/South on Friday night, I'm just saying I'd rather watch the big AFL ANZAC day clash. And besides, Central/North is on TV so I'll IQ it and watch it later.

And as Wedgie said, it may be 9th v 12th but it should be a good game. 90k, Collingwood are still a good team but are just down on form, and well Essendon are 2-3 but have played some great footy this year.

Point out to me how exactly i have got "all uppity" Wedgie? All i did was point out the double standards in your post that i will add was made in reply to a comment not directed to you in anyway. I really have no problem with anyone suggesting my opinion on any matter is ridiculous for what it's worth. I think the same about a lot of things but i am not so precious to believe i am right 100% of the time.

I also have no problem with NFC responding however he likes by the way as my comment was in reply to his quote. In fact he has done so and quite sensibly too. Makes his point very clearly and rationally without resorting to the level you or i have. Full marks to him.

PS - As i said, enjoy your trip Wedgie.

At least we have one thing in common, we both acknowledge Norwood supporters are better than us!

We could go on for hours, but do me a favour, give the Dogs a cheer for me tomorrow as I've loaded up on them with the punt.

Don't reckon they need a cheer. Reckon your cash is pretty safe. Extra booze money for your weekend will come in handy

Yes, you wouldn't want you to actually experience being at a football game with a big crowd and atmosphere so removed from what you get following South!

Do you think that would detract from the importance of the Anzac day game MT79?

interesting to note that they mentioned this on the RPH footy show thursday night.

i think to make it an attractive double header

have the traditional G/F replay and then as the other match have the teams that finished 3rd/4th..........

plus it would be cheaper having it as double header instead of 2 separate games as it is tonight.

Big crowd? Unfortunately not mate... 4,393 is a major disappointment.
