Surely the C grade system would be better with a relegation, promotion system, there is just too many teams throughout the grades getting flogged week in week out, impossible to enjoy your footy getting pumped every week. The only downside i can see with that though, No Triple headers

the c grade system is the fairest and best way of mirroring your A grade. unf the stronger teams are always gonna do better than the shit teams, but if it went back to the old system the good team STILL would dom, and the shit teams will try to wrought the system. imagine if you were a div 3 club and at the moment you play ag other div3 clubs c grade. in div 3 it goes fr 1st to 10 like most other grades, if your clubs strong you do well. do you think the div 3 c grades should play ag div 4 or 5,,, clubs c grades, this is when the system gets wroughted,,, there can be a few exceptions to the rule ie adel uni last year but when you start putting higher graded teams in a lower div its unfair on the lower divs. im sure the saafl will come up with a good set up one day that is fair but i think at the moment this way is the best.

I see what your saying but i mean a rotation from C1 to C7, there is always gonna be a quality side, but say your A's are in Div 2 and your C's are continually finishing bottom in C2, why not drop down a grade.

theres always flaws in the system but same theory applys...some would say if they always finished bottom then went to a lower grade and did well and say finished top, do they go up again and get flogged again, sounds good but never works, if you look thru all the prem tables on the saafl web site ( its actually really good coz they all come up together in order) youll see the good teams are doing good and the shit teams arnt. thers no happy medium.

Yeah can't keep everyone happy. Have a look what "Finn" posted about Broadview in the C1 thread, a perfect example of my opinion.

i agree with most of your points here but would argue that the league, to do this properly, must enforce the reflection process. in div 7 this year, there are three div 2 c grades, 1 div 1 c grade and then 6 a grade sides. any process is going to have positives and negatives buit the league must also take into account individual exceptional circumstances eg broadview this year.

just wondering mr bombers how uni rorted the system last year? not taking umbrage or anything but just curious.

nah you must have misread it finn, i didnt say or mean uni in this instance, when i refered to uni it was meant to mean the c1 team won the gf and some people may think its your c grade (which its not) would have been relagated coz of unis A1 side being relagated,,this is what i meant by exception to the rules. when i was talking of teams wroughting the system i meant A grade teams going down to the lowest possible div say c5 or c6 and win g f s......i hope this clears it up

with broadies i think all over unf they are gonna have a bad year all round,,, but i spose my point of wroughting would be for example they being a div 1 club , not doing well div 1 and div 1 res and the c grade who are currently in c1 went for example to c5 and started wining a few then all of a sudden all these old div1 players come out and bang your system is rooted. please note im only using this as an example. im not suggesting broadview would do this ever. but can you see my point finn. and i agree its a hard set up for mark and the am guys to try and make a fair system. i do like it this year at the moment

Hope the Cmen made it back to Pultney safely before sundown after the tough match with Adelaide Lutheran on the weekend. Otherwise they may have come in contact with some Cmen from another source.....
