Lets be honest does it really matter, what will our league gain from the visit??

If nothing else - some publicity it would seem - OR - maybe a Centrals player going into the WWT zone might raise an eyebrow or 2 and make WWT realise that they have a country zone quite close to their headquarters. Won't be holding my breath!

Maybe WWT will send out the pie cart to a few Junior training sessions around the league - hahaha - I am cracking some big ones now......

Screw the pie cart at the Juniors. How about the seniors getting a few pies!

I'm with you on that one DB - could do with some conditioning myself.

yes u could do with alot of conditioning

June long weekend is fast approaching and do we need to start turning our thoughts towards APFL Association Representatives?

How about;

Balaklava - Walker, Catford, Levi, Scott and Evans x3
Hamley - Newchurch, Br.Burgess
HWE - Joel Wilson, Jazz Wilson, Light, Barnes, Jericho, Reid & Ciccolella.
Mallala - montgomerie x 2, whitwell, Rimmer, Earl & Montgomery
United - Dalgleish, M.Pym, Serle, Vandenburgh & Broad.
Two Wells - Buss, Allmond, Seccafien, Oliver & Grugovic.
Virginia - Leo, Young, Starr & Conti.

Apologies to anyone who i haven't named, i have no official say in the squad, just opinion.
Sorry people I only deal in facts!

Good start Rooster - lets put forward some other youngsters to run with the squad at well - might not play but good experience for them - young Rowland at Balak always impresses me. Dhamu from United is going to be a quality player (I did hear he might be heading interstate - hope that's wrong). Birchmore from Mallala?

Reckon your right there Swamp - I know of 3 young fellas that were playing with Centrals U/17 back in the mid to late 80s - these days those same lads would be zoned to WWT.

One of them was running around the Two Wells Oval past 2 matches.

Tips

Two Wells to smash Hamley
Mallala over Virginia by 8 goals
United by 2 goals and Jon Griffin wishing he had a beard like Whisky!

Dream Team by 8 goals
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Very true - I reckon through to Hamley would have been Doggies territory. I remember playing with guys from out that way when I was in underage squads (Luke McCabe is one example). Clare was also in our zone (Tim Cook, Eddie Hocking (???), Sam Lindner, Shayne Willmott, Corey Donnellan) are all guys I can remember who I think came from that way. Somehow a bloke called Avan Ireland was also playing with us - he's from Port Broughton, so I don't know how that worked...Sammy McArdle also played in Centrals' early flags too.

That was about 15 years ago now when I was there, so the zone's changed after that.

Noticed a couple of pages ago all you lads were having a whinge about those funny looking white fellas running around trying to control the game.I am with most of you. The standard of umpiring is feeble.I witnessed the display out at longies last weekend and they shore know how to ruin a game. They are that slow they were making decisions from about 40 meters away . How are they supposed to see a clutch situation from that distance , a guess maybe. I have been involved with this league for 15 years now and the quality of umpiring is at its worse .Some serious theorie needs to be put in place!!!!!! No offence to tallboy , a top bloke and knows his footy to boot . Maybe he should shout them all beers at his house for some home work on a friday night. Can pint of ale tell me which club sells the coldest and freshest beeeeeeer in the league ?

I'm gonna jump in on this one, i have had the pleasure of sampling many an ale at all the grounds (even Lochiel!!) and i would have to say that the coldest by far would be found at Virginia, and that could be because a) it's colder down at ram park than anywhere else in the plains, b) No one else drinks beer at the bar, its all spirits and the beer is sitting there chilling or c) they just like to serve really cold beer!

Personally i think it's a bit of all three, i had a beer there once that gave me brain freeze, i had a schooner and could not even hold it for frostbite in my hand, like a pom i had to wait for it to thaw out before i could drink it, but would have it no other way.

It's hard to come across that nowadays as most places serve beer by bottles and can instead of from the keg. but get down to Ram park for a real treat, some barbecue spare ribs or pig on spit and the coldest coopers pale ale this side of the Antartic Hotel just south of tasmania.

Sam Gribbles will get my gag ;)

He might also know about Elvis and Johnny Cash. Sunshine out the window might even make him happy, like he should be.

And yes, I'm pretty sure Sam Gribbles likes Footy.
