Norwood vs North this Friday

Postby topsywaldron » Sun May 14, 2006 12:22 am

While we know Norwood don't stand a chance against a rampant Roosters outfit I know a lot of Redlegs fans who are counting down the days until this game.

It could just have something to do with looking forward to barracking for Norwood against North rather than having to support Port or Centrals. :)

Don't count your chickens (or Roosters) Topsy, there's only 1 Norwood fan that I know that would support Port or Centrals.

Bloody oath. Reba and Dasher enjoyed the call of south v norwood. This game can expect 5 plus in good weather due to this weeks results.

"Baby on board". Why dont you put a sign on ur car saying "adult on board" or "car stereo in use"?

As a Redleg, I saw them struggle against Port Adelaide a couple of weeks ago and would expect a similar result this weekend. I hope not, but I just don't think our list is comparable to North's who have players like Wintle, Gill, and Francou coming back into the team this week. I'd like to think we can get within 4 goals.

Hawk. To me this is a danger game for both teams.

A North blow out will effect the Norwood percentage.... Thus the Norwood season......

A norwood win, and it's not out of the question, as I think the Roosters are a daylight team..? Would set the Legs 2006 season up for them but would hurt the confidence of the Rooster Army...!

This game would be best served a Draw.........

For the SANFL.........

A SANFL FAN...!

Maybe a 1 point win to the Legs....!

Dog_ger, check your facts, Norwood 4th, another team is 3rd....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Dog-ger, I'd love to think you are right, but I don't see North as a daylight team. I remember them belting us under lights in Round 1 2005 at the Parade. It's fair to say Norwood are a better team than they were then, but I think North have improved as well.

Sadly I think Hawk is on the money, I'm pretty confident in the heart amongst the boys at the Parade (they actually seem to play better footy when they're behind) but they were found a little wanting by a star-studded Magpies outfit a few weeks back and North are no different ... Got my first look at them on the weekend on the box and there's plenty there to like (especially this kid Pfeiffer) about their list (staggering to think there's a Magarey favourite, Farmer Medallist and VFL State CHF to come back into the lineup  ).

Legs will need to improve their efficiency and accuracy around the sticks to remain in the contest, but I fear a blowout having seen first hand the damage North can cause with 30 minutes of good football!

Crikey, what is happening down at the Parade?
Even if its only 3, in the old days Norwood supportes would lynch others for even thinking that!
Just remember who made your forum fellas, it wasn' a Port or Central fan!

PS I did say that "I know" though, luckily the dozens I do know are the intelligent ones who still maintain everything Norwood close to their heart but they've been around a bit longer than you kids. Maybe my old man was referring to you 3 when he warned me about some Norwood fans? I know we've arrived again when 3 Norwood supporters is like us more than Port or Central. Luckily Warky will still buy me a Coopers. :partyman:

PPS In case the sarcasm doesn't come through, I'm just pulling ya legs as I sure you am mine, make sure you come say Hi on Friday night, don't look for blondey though, look for an ugly No 2 cropped bearded mongrel. I'll probably come down the Southern goal end to see Manny and Serge (the 2 I sat with at the Norwood B&F dinner).

As you touched on its a good sign for North, I reakon the best thing Robert Pyman has said in his time down at South was that he didn't want South to be everyones second team any longer. Unfortunatly he might not have achieved that yet but its good in theory.
