Glad you asked!
Apparently the APFL met on Monday night before the junior committee meeting of last night and agreed to keep the mercy rule as it is because they felt it was working well - this is without waiting for review and recommendation from the Junior committee. This is despite a recommendation that was passed last night to the contrary by the Junior committee.
GET YOUR HEADS OUT OF THE SAND APFL COMMITTEE. Buschy you need to fix this problem immediately.
Apparently Virginia, United, Two Wells and Balaklava want the mercy rule removed completely from U17 and raise the U14s to 10 goal margin before enactment. Mallala and HWE want some form of mercy rule in both grades (fair dinkum are there primary school teachers running these 2 junior committees). Hamley are undecided. I know for a fact that Hamley U17 and Mallala U17 coaches are not in favour of the rule.
Junior committee also want amendments if the mercy crap is to stand - move the margin to 15 goals in U17 and 10 in U14s.
How can the APFL say it is working well? Have they not seen the same games the rest of the community has seen? Is there too many do-gooders in power? What the ?%$k is going on??
