Not much is separating them on the premiership table and the longer this season goes on the more it looks like we will have a 1989 GF rematch on our hands. But let's not predict the GF just yet, but discuss the teams as of now. I feel the gap between the 3 teams is closer than some might assume.

The Cats seem to be letting teams jump them and then have to reel them in. Still winning but the scoring and final margins are not as massive as they were last year. Meanwhile the Hawks seem to have improved a lot and now have themselves some real size and skill down their spine and possibly a more potent forward line on their day. But Geelong's midfield is still the elite of the comp for mine.

The Bulldogs are playing fast attacking footy and getting the job done - quiet achievers.

So where do we think the 3 undefeated teams are at?

not the same really- the AFL have a Draft System in place, to compensate lowly teams with high picks, whereas the SANFL is based more on the EPL, albeit with theconstraints of a salary cap.

Everyone forgets about the dogs. They are still there, and not a bad side. Maybe not at the same level as Geelong or the Hawks but still not bad.

you would think that hawks are a bit in front of geelong now. after the last few weeks.
geelong were lucky against freo and were trailing the lions at three qtr time without Black and brown.
and two weeks ago the Magpies where thumped playing hawks.

Weren't overly impressive but did what they had to do. Throw, Lewis, Crawford, Hodge, Guerra and McGlynn back in and it is looking better. Dew has done his hamstring again by the looks of things so another 4 or so weeks without him.

Hawthorn should have never drafted Dew. He is always injured and is a waste of space. He is also to fat and unfit. AMEN!

He has been very good when he has played but it is a worry that he keeps missing so much. Hopefully he can get back and play the second half of the year.

Ridiculous to say they shouldn't have drafted him. He's been very good when he's played and this year was always going to be a struggle. It's 2009 that he will come into his own and by then Hawks will be even better and he will be the icing on the cake. Has shown he can still play, it's just about getting his body right.
