Hows this for a message:

Great suggestion worth considering - possible minor amendment is

"We'd love to watch the replay
Of the Vics getting beat
But ABC2 thinks a Test Pattern
Is a much nicer treat"

The SANFL have advised they will provide the slogan and West End signs to go on the banner as well as all materials.
Helpers will get free tix, free caps and refreshments on the night.
Most likely to be on the Friday night before the game 30th of May.
Stay tuned.

This from the SANFL:

The following is what we require;

Ø 1 x Banner
Ø People to hold it up before the match
Ø Transport the banner to the match

We can supply for you and your helpers;

Ø Tickets to the match
Ø SANFL Caps
Ø Cost of materials for the banner
Ø Food and beverage while you construct the banner
Ø West end labels will be supplied for the banner

I will email you the slogan later this week.

Once again thank you and please feel free to contact me at any time for further information if required.

Once again, if the Friday night doesn't suit it could be done on the Thursday night, no night is set in concrete, I will advise the lady organising it that 2 of our potential helpers and possibly others couldn't make it for the Friday night due to the Cows game. The NAFC is cool with Thursday or Friday so there's no reason it couldn't at least be started on the Thursday. I'll pass on info as I get it.

Pre-determined slogan? I'm sure it will be some politically correct claptrap, that very few SANFL fans can relate to.

PS must be an awesome side if McConnell can't even make the squad...

He's still my hero even if he is a little bit crap.

I think the point Rushby is making in the role of the small crumbing forward not as the leading key foward a la Chambers and Hargraves. One could argue that Justin is the form forward (for that role) over the past two years - 91 goals in 27 games....

He is playing good footy, but I still think Chambers or Hargraves would have to fall over for him to get a spot.

He wouldn't be competing with either of those two for a spot.....as he isn't a key forward/target, he is competing with Callinan for his role. Who has kicked more goals over a season and a 1/4 as small/medium crumbing forward?

For mine I'm not fussed gives him a chance to freshen up for the rest of the season in black and gold, I just know where Rushby is coming from.

And I agree - McConnell should be in there.

I'd suggest this squad has been picked more on reputation than current form.
