Well the West Indians may need to replace one of their experiencd players in Marlon Samuels, who has been found guilty of bookie links.

Samuels out for two years.

Where will Katich bat if as expected he replaces Clarke for 1st test?

Clarke batted 5, will it be a straight swap or with Punters form lately would they go...

1. Hayden
2. Jaques
3. Katich
4. Ponting
5. M.Hussey
6. Symonds
7. Haddin
8. Lee
9. Johnson
10. Clark
11. MacGill

I'd put Katich in at 5. No need to mess with the rest of the order IMHO. Katich is capable of batting anywhere. I'm really looking forward to see how Haddin starts his Test career.

Hi guys my first post on here look forward to many more, hopefully Marsh gets a gig in the one day team at some stage after seeing his great form in the IPL. Looks a good prospect for the future :-)

Totally agree on Marsh, I think perhaps if Jaques doesnt make runs this test series he could be worth a shot in the next home series as an opener like his old man.

Clarke will join the Australians in the Caribbean next Wednesday, making him available for the 2nd test starting on May 31. Brad Hodge will head back to India to fulfil his IPL commitments providing he is not selected in the First Test squad. (which you have to think is unlikely)

Australia got bowled out for 396, they should have atleast made 500+ against the opposition they are playing....................

Luckily it's just a practice match.............
