Thought ovies would've won by more than a point, nearly an early upset there! Did ovies play poorly or are scotch a real contender?

Ovies played extremely poorly. Not for the entire game and to PHOS's credit when Ovies started to play poorly they put the foot down and nearly got over the line. A few boys would be very disappointed with their game on the weekend. I know talking to Moorey he is extremely annoyed with his game on the weekend which was one of his worst in his 13 odd seasons he has been playing he said. A few on the upside was Ryno, Scotty and big Dave. I think that they will definately have to work on a few things this week especially against the current yard stick Modbury at Modbury.

As is the nature of C Grade football this was a weakened PHOS side as well. You only need 3 out in each grade to lose almost half a side.

I just looked on the amateur website on the tribunal outcomes this week. A bloke called Simon Bennet was cleared to play but had his club listed as Wingfield and in brackets underneath says Ovingham. Why would that be?
Thats what im talkin aboooouuuut!!!!!!

I'll take a punt and say he had a report while playing at Wingies didn't turn up to the tribunal and has since been cleared to Ovingham and the suspension has probably run its course or no case to answer.

As mentioned before would be interesting to see how the Ovingham Vs Modbury game would go. Modbury to their credit got up by 2 goals and just reaffirmed what I said in an earlier post about them being the measuring stick in this grade of footy. Also good wins to North Pines who now sit on 3 wins /1 loss, PHOS 3 wins 1 loss and Adel Uni also on 3 wins/ 1 loss.

Pretty close ladder and should be some good games this weekend

Very interesting round this week, 1 v 2, 5 v 6 and 7 v 9. This will sort out where the teams are headed and set the tone for the make up of the ladder for the remainder of the season.
