Anyone heard much about the two interleague sides, any notable outs? What's everyones feeling on this pre-mortlock scheduling of games. They carry no prize and to me is just another chance for injury. I agreed with the concept of Port Lincoln playing Whyalla, was a high standard game and it was a thrill to play in. For this round last year, a lot from both sides made themselves unavailable, Districts were ringing around on the Saturday morning to find players. Waste of time I reckon.....

Agree with that WCP, The Mortlock concept has changed this year anyway. They would argue that it is good chance to get to know everyone before mortlock (nothing a piss up the Sunday before Mortlock couldn't fix) but there is usually about 10 changes made to the actual Mortlock side anyway.

It was no Rumble in the Jungle or Thriller in Manilla last night but it was ok. Missed the 8th Round due to a fight breaking out behind me in the Sand Bar. Nothing Jodi Wiseman couldn't sought out though. She claimed another victim last night the poor old bloke stood no chance. Don't worry Dunc, you are not alone.

I hear that Districts had 12 at training and Citys 13 - says a bit doesn't it. Obviously the players are thinking along the same lines as you WCP

the lincoln v whyalla games were changed for multiple reasons, people were making themselves unavailable, people sick of paying the money for buses etc and getting flogged by whyalla. I was a league delegate at the time, and everyone club voted for the change. If people don't like it they shoulda spoke up to their clubs, and got their delegates to vote against.

PL clubs (in particular LC) have never had the same affinity with inter league that the rest have. Variety of reasons, but reakon mainly relates to the more transient nature of players in the PLFL. Long Weekend or no footy weekend a chance to go back to Adelaide or just get away for the weekend...from an admin / organisational point of view, is gr8 to have a dry run b4 mortlock and iron a few kinks out...I know it helped win the Kinlough a couple of years ago (on the back of an inspiration speach by TRR b4 the final) as well as the LC Mortlock victory a couple of years ago...proof may be in the pudding as far as results.

can assure you that it will be spoken about at club and league level - for the reasons listed....I would hate to think that with the lack of enthusiasm in the Lincoln City side that there may just be ramifications of decisions made by players, clubs and senior coaches........
