I was there also and ingle farm played very well, was told greenis had a few out including there full fwd. Danny Ryan was very dissapointing in both the way he played and his speech at 1/4 time. Greenies looked slow and when under the pump made lots of basic errors. Attack them hard at ball and body and they will cough it up. Farmers best win for 3 years and well coached today, lots of young players stood up and gave there all great win especially since there best player and one of the best in the comp was injured from 1/2 time onwards and didnt appear, there next best smarty played a ripper

what post did you put up in the rooms beeroclock?

full credit to golden grove yesterday..class outfit all over the park..smashed us from start to finish and made us look inept, and should have won by 30..kuhndt,simmons,hoklas held to an extent but others pop up all over the park, boxer and ravlich were brilliant..very good team and would have to be premiership faves

congrats to ingle farm..magnificent win and the stuff centrals and kenilworth would love to emulate but cant atm..

Much appreciated comments Zed.
Boxer and Scudds pulled equal in the votes back at the club with Dash coming in third. Easilly Dash's best game for the season. Good analysis regarding our best.
The tagging jobs were noticable as well. Your number 10 seemed to follow simmons and sparnon closley whenever they went on the ball. Hoklas did explode in the third though
Good luck next week!

Farmers knocking off Greenacres makes our game with them next week very interesting. Centrals have they bye in the SANFL. Could it mean Todd Shepphard and Jimmy Thomas as a very handy in's for the midfield along with the return of Hugh Milikan's nemesis Rowan Shenton??  Cant wait for saturday already!!

i didnt mention scudds because it was to obvious :)

huge unit..they couldnt stop him

there were defintely some tags going on i guess but the half fwd broke line down every time they tried to go forward and i dont think they won a centre break all day

what players are new to the team this year or is this your 07 team basically?

Essentially our team from last year. Our outs have been chad parrish (playing occasionally in pirie i believe, mainly healing a broken body) and todd sheppard (centrals)

Our ins for this year have been scudds, simmons and furno (the medium sized bloke who played up forward, and took some good grabs). Furno wasnt really a 'recruit' in the way shane and glen were, just a mate of a few of the boys.

if that was ur team from last year then you guys and bos must have been miles ahead of the rest..simmons is classy..lovely kick and scudds is scudds..every team would love to have a big guy like that up forward

we see greenacres in 2 weeks so we can compare both teams but what i saw saturday was the premier imo..a better unit than alfc or fitzroy teams last year

The worst umpiring i have seen in a while with the Blacks smithfield game - it ruined a great game which could've been a bigger shootout than what it was.. both sides copped the wrong end of the stick! You would get a free kick every time against you if you touched a bloke after he'd kicked it. even if attempting a smother and following through - how can u pull out of that whilst in mid air!?!?
Anyway a credit to our young boys again stuck it out all day and prevailed in the last qtr yet again. the young legs carried us through!
On another note Ingle Farm great win - I hear there are a couple of injuries down G-Junction way.. Broken ankle, hamstring, with the b's like they are i wouldn't see them having much depth if a few more boys were to go down... Congrats farmers - needed a good win!

I watched the game also, Farmers played awesome with No 13 and 14 dominating, they just wanted the ball more than Greenies in my opinion.

Greenies looked tired and battered but need to take into consideration there was up to 9 missing from when I watched them earlier in the year with 4 of them gone for the year. Not a big fan of "Danny Ryan" Bulldogs, I thought he was their only target and he stood 2-3 farmers boys most the day kicking 4.3. I heard his speech also and thought it was pretty good, guess it depends whish side of the fence you sit on. I do agree that Ingle Farm were very well coached and they were set for the game.

Farmers should kick on with some confidence if they are willing to work as hard as they did and Greenies will need to regroup real quick and get some players back on the field, I think they would be looking forward to the bye but Smithfield may have something for them before that.

Your compliments are much appreciated Zed. Even if you did have a dig at me for inlcuding us as a monty for top 5 at the start of the year   All good now mate. The lads are really pumped for the Farmers game this week now that they have "done a collingwood" and knocked off the faves.

Hectorville were also very classy outfit last year and pushed us all the way. Could have been them in div 5 this year if it wasnt for some last quarter heroics in the prelim final. Im suprised not to see them dominating div 6. I dont venture much outside this topic so wouldnt know if they have lost many. Was a heartbreaking way to go out.
We still have two (not counting our league boys that should qualify for finals) key outs. One hopefully will return this week and the other hopefully after the break for the BOS game.

What's the story with the c's down your way at the moment? Couldnt quite make the numbers on the weekend or do you think you will struggle for the rest of the year?

On another point of order, i have word travel my way that the dragons have a decent injury list piling up at the moment. A busted hip/pelvis amongst them True or myth??? Anyone have the reason for forthy not playing on Saturday? Surely he was not held goaless!

Agreed, at least you guys didn't get three players sent off for absolute crap, I think the small oval cramped Smithfield's game but nevertheless you guys kept bouncing back. The umpiring became humourous towards the end, the old fella didn't even know which arm to put up when awarding a free and forgot why he was awarding frees, he called play on at one stage then forgot he said it and paid a 25, I'd hate to see div 7, the B grade umps were excellent.

Good to see the Farmers knock off Greenies, really opens up the comp now, take into consideration that Kenilworth knocked off Ingle Farm, it's basically whoever turns up to play the game on the day, that's what we need to see in div 5.

forthy has "white line" fever..dyor :) and yes the b grade depth maybe a concern for them

burra, that was just some pre season stirring mate, nothing else to talk about at the time, i always knew you guys would be right up to it but until you see it in the flash its hard to quantify :) i saw heccys this year and i was impresed with them but they havent gone on with it yet..slowly getting it together and i think will be the ones to beat come september

in regards to the c grade they had 4 sent to hospital the week before and just couldnt get the numbers this week with the hour long drive to harpers field taken into account..we didnt want to forfeit but in the end they couldnt get more than 12 players
