Interesting wcp, i think that aaron smith got dropped from the A's last week and played in the magoos then came up as the 21st player.

not going to take that bait btb......brusied egos - F*&k off thats crap!

but the unavailability of (for one "reason" or another) ...Joe Hyppen, Matthew Goodwin, Daniel Schuppan, Duncan Moore, Shannon Horgan, Jess Whittaker, Michael Bilney and possibly Darren Gregory - you would wonder if Waybacks could even field a side if they had to play tommorrow.....

Rory Hunt is a young guy from Blackwood here under a work permit. Played ressies last week against rangers in his first game for Waybacks and played pretty well....playing for Lincoln City tomorrow...hows that for a meteoric rise.

Also TRR...will be very interested to see how many of those are not available next week. My mail tells me at least 4 will be missing.

some of those are injury concerns - and it certainly isnt only waybacks - but this concept - or the way that clubs and their coaches view it - needs to be looked at........dont blame wally....especially considering NO ELSE wanted to do the job and the three clubs concerned had six months notice to appoint a senior coach.....and came up with not one

GF wont win by as much with that team then, no johnno hunt, no craig curtis etc....should still win though, very youthful side....it was stated at our club training prior to association training that the association training is a MANDATORY training and unless injured badly or away for other reason you must attend the training...is this how it goes in lincoln?

Wally was of the impression they will all want to take the extra week against Bostons and then be fit, rested & ready for Tasmans. I agree TRR, if Waybacks were playing a stronger side the week after they would all be fit. They could probably all play this week would be my guess, but I don't blame them. Who wants to play in such a meaningless game. Clubs should vote next year that the PL sides just take part in Mortlock. I think that GF etc still have a real crack at these games as it's a chance for them to prove to the PL League that they are our equal, whereas we don't really give a toss anymore.......

dont know if the first part is correct wcp......but agree that to some this game is not a priority and view it as a time to take a deep breath and get any niggles right.........rightly or wrongly - i'm a bit over it actually - and the game hasnt even been played yet!

The game at Centenary was the worst inter-league half of football I have ever witnessed. Lincoln City are a disgrace to the PLFL. Thank god we have Lincoln Districts that pull together during these games and at least look a bit interested. Firstly Lincoln South, Tasmans and Waybacks arent known for being the hardest teams going around but to put up a showing like that was bad and our questions have been answered on playing these games in the future. NO.
If playing guys that played reserves football for their local club wasn't bad enough, City had their ruckman who continually kicked with his wrong foot even when in the clear.
Great Flinders would have had a great laugh at the game and the PLFL in general.
For Wally to get in the press and say that players didnt contact him and blame it on Waybacks and Souths for not being commited is bad, to publicly say that Souths and Waybacks are resting players for coming local games is that true? City should take a leaf out of Districs book and save embarrasing us next time!
