WOOD
See plenty of it for council collections in the forms of furniture etc
Is it recyclable ?
Or is it useless ?

I guess being polished , treated , painted etc its no good for firewood or other uses
OR
Is it ?

Question is can it be collected and traded for $$$$$$ :?:

In a word mal,no.It is no good to any one.

Even though there has been little rain over the last week or two the timber would (even if stained/coated/veneered) have suffered some moisture damage from over night dew.To a cabinet maker/home handyman it is useless.

Cant be burnt as you suggested and you will be charged to dump it,no one would pay you for it.Leave it there.

It could possibly breakdown and return to the soil, in which case you could grow potatoes in it one day.

Depends where you live, US 1 billion = 1 thousand million (1,000,000,000), Europe 1 billion = 1million million (1,000,000,000,000), I always thought we used the European version which would make it 3 more zeros, I may be wrong with that though.

:?

You said 100,000,000 is not 1 billion

I said 1,000,000,000 or 1,000,000,000,000 is 1 billion, it depends where you live to which one is correct.

Surely you can see that we haven't disagreed at all :?:

I think the UK and European version of a billion [a million million] has largely died out here in favour of the US 1000 million = 1 billion.
I suspect it is a world-wide trend, and presumably JAS, or one of our other northern hemisphere based posters, can tell us the current usage where they are.
