Perhaps they need Chris Calyun back. Here's a quote from the great man last week during a conversation about the APFL, "Joel's strong, but I'm stronger!".

Big Chris would have to dish up something special to knock Joel out, i remember watching a game last year Between the magpies and tigers and seen chris put a fairly big hit on jason earle and he bounced straight back up. It didnt seem to bother him.

Not yet Jumbo, judging by the amount of blokes at training they might be ringing about 10 blokes I reckon. I counted 15 doing the warm up lap!

That doesn't sound too promising - did Taylor add anymore to the squad?

I would think so, couldnt tell you who though. Most at training were in original squad. Tim Cawrse? He may be the exception

The fact is swamp, he continues to try and run through people when they put there head over the footy without even watching the footy himself! I seem to recall you getting upset when r russo was up to his old tricks when the magpies last played the rams. Who is the wierd unit now?

Mate, laying a bump on a bloke who is going for the footy is pretty legitimate if you ask me, if he has his head over the footy and Joel hits the bloke high then im sure the umpire will see it. Last time i checked a king hit from behind a guy and behind the play is slightly different I would have thought. :? :? :-k

Ive gotta agree with Swamp, Sam Grumbles. There is a difference between hard footy and a punch, pretty big difference really, and word is a few of the United boys were havin a crack with the latter.......???

I don't think United could afford to go the knuckle. Couldn't risk any suspensions considering the injury list. The 2 weeks break will be very handy for the boys.

Hey Swamp I have a present for you. All you need to do is hang around Longies for a few beers after the tigers v pies game in a few weeks time. We're having a pirate and wench night so wear your best wench outfit. I think there's a band or something so should be a good night if you've got nothing on. Maybe we can have a drink or 20 out of Johnny Palmer!
