Good blokes, both got on the piss Saturday night. I'm sure you can draw your own conclusions on whether they are good players from Saturday.

As for recruiting, probably just a ruckman!

Played juniors against the upstart. Apparently his dad was the dirtiest player going around....

Ok all now we are nearing the mid point of the season and there isn't much to talk about this week I thought i might ask poeple to predict the end of season ladder and see how it compares to the graph at the top.....

Also maybe the Div 3 Team of the year so far.....

My Prediction is

Eastern Park (biased i know)
Kilburn
Flinders
Para Hills
Old Igs
Walkies
Woody south
SPOC
Salisbury
Salisbury West

Team of the year contenders....Forward line at the top...

Fuller Hanson Morris
Wilson Rolfe Ashby
Keen Walasek Flinders lad? (not russell)
Paget Tume? Poole or Calyun
Harvey Collins? ??

1st Ruck
Calabrese
Cattermole
S Gatto

Int
Broadhurst
Stengle
Lane
Cantwell
One of the Walkerville rovers (don't know name)

probably missed a few...sorry

Bit hard on Walkerville boozehound, although they haven't won that many games yet I think they will do well in September. Here's my ladder at the end of the minor round.

Kilburn...of course
Eastern Park
Walkerville....should have on a few games that it lost, e.g. against Flinders Park. Very good when they are on, average team when they are not. Lots of games at home coming up, including the big 3 against Kilburn, Eastern Park and Flinders Park. They play their oval well.
Flinders Park
Iggies...haven't seen them yet though

Para Hills...teams coming up a div seem to struggle after the half way mark(I think?)
Salisbury
SPOC
Woody South
Salisbury West...unless they beat us again

In all honesty you would have to say Carey Payne or the Para Hills coach wouldnt you??? payney doesn't have a great deal of cash / resources at his disposal so you would have to say he would be the front runner at the moment....para Hills coach has done well so far too I'd say.

BH, I think EB53 has his tongue well and truly in his cheek with his nomination as coach, don't you?

Payney has done a fantastic job up to now. How he will be judged will depend on whether he can keep Eastern Park from turning into a rabble when tested.

If he can keep them discliplined they will be a force in this season's final series. If not, they will fall by the wayside.
