I know it's been a little while in between drinks but I have another addition to add to my wonderful list of media stuff ups...

16. SANFL Budget: State Game: Volume 83, No. 10 - May 31, 2008

I was going back over my State Game budget and noticed something interesting with the 2 page spread (Pg 22,23) in regards to the individual players and coaches photo and snippets about them...

On page 23, I'll quote what they said in regards to North Adelaide rover James Allan:

"One of the highest possession gatherers in the SANFL competition who has the ability to find space and set up his team mates with intelligent use of the ball. First state match"

Now, nothing wrong with that, it's a fair assessment of the Magarey Medalist from 2007. I agree...

BUT... Have a look at what they had to say on Page 22 about one of Harty's assistants, former St. Kilda and Norwood star (who played predominantly as a forward) Robbie Neill:

WHAT A JOKE... They've written the same thing about Robbie as what they did for Jimmy Allan. It surely must be a case of whoever wrote these up knew nothing about Robbie Neill (which I find hard to believe, he played a fair few games for Norwood, kicked a few goals and even works at the SANFL !!??) so they have just clicked "copy" and "paste". Pretty poor I reckon. Even more so considering Robbie wasn't a midfielder and wasn't even playing in the state match, he was a bloody assistant coach...

I had to scrounge for one this week, my usual reliable source (Inside Football) let me down and I couldn't actually find an error from last weeks edition. Not to say there still wasn't on there though ??!!

Is this just football related? They had a list of South Australian Olympic hopefuls in the Sunday Mail. Laura Summerton was one they listed. As we know (you should know!) she plays basketball, and they had a picture of her holding a basketball, but they said she was in the rowing.
