The ones you decribe deserve to be paid well, the others should be sacked, and there is plenty of both catagories.zipzap wrote:Let me ask you Dog_ger. How much do you think a GOOD teacher is worth? My son would have been better off with a monkey than the dinosour he had one year in Primary school, parent aquantaince night, first disturbing quote "I'm an old fashioned teacher with old fashioned ways and I will not change for anyone". As a broad group, excluding the exceptional teacher, they haven't done in years. Sixteen years ago, or so, I knew a history lecturer at Adelaide Uni, who scrapped his first term curriculum to teach the kids basic reading comprehension and writing skills after the first couple of papers came in.
