Most You've Won On A Scratchy Ticket?

Bloke here at work had a bit of a windfall so bought everyone a $5 Scratchy Ticket ... I've never really heard of too many decent collects on them so thought I'd throw it out there and see what the most is anyone's ever won (or heard of an associate winning)?

Going back a few years ago, I went into the old lotteries bulding and bought a scratchie, and won something like $2 on it, so I went back and exchanged it for 2 more scratchies, and won $1 and so on, I kept winning $1 or $2.

I did this swapsie thing about 7 or 8 times until I got the $20 win and ran with the money, so in total I guess I would of actually won about double that!

A school mate won $25000 when he was still in high school. I think he was 16 or 17 and wondered if it was legal for them to sell it to someone of that age.

Lucky barsted. $25k is a great kick start to your adult life!

When I was about 10, I found one that had $40 on it that someone had obviously not checked properly! I only buy them every now and then and haven't got anything more than that.

A kid I went to school withs parents won $25,000, not once, but twice in about a 2 or 3 year period, also won 1st div lotto, about $200,000 IIRC.

Thats the worst bit, the return on investment with scratchies is around 60%, but then those that win less than $10- generally reinvest and then reinvest again, which reduces the return even more...


If you actually want to win $ dont do scratchies or lotto....

Won nearly $17,000 on X-lotto in 1997 2nd Div. One number of $1.4 million, didn't change our lives but was welcome. The most on scratchies I think it was $8.00

never bought one, have collected $1500.00 on x-lotto but only but x-lotto when they are big jackpots & then get a 9,10 or 11 system entry other than that only sMALl collects years ago when i did get a ticket every week

The most ive won in $100, however a family friend won $100,000 on a scratchie about 10 years ago.
