Fast food "restaurants" advertising tactics

Postby Hondo » Tue Jun 17, 2008 10:50 pm

First we have Maccas advertising proudly that they now make their food AFTER we order it ( you mean a "restaurants" actually do that?)

Now, to take the cake, the latest KFC ads proudly announce that every "restaurant" now has a COOK on site at all times. what a great idea why don't all restaurants do that?

What next .... HJs telling us that their staff now wash their hands regularly?

:D

Personally, can't speak with much authority about McGreasey's latest advertising tactics (or any for that matter) as commercial television and radio is not something I go out of my way to indulge in.

Commercial advertising involves getting the brand name and symbols into public psyche as efficiently as possible (obviously).

With this in mind, perhaps the most effective form of advertising to recalcitrant commercial dodgers such as myself are the innumerable pieces of garbage - with their logo - within kilometres of their so-called "restaurants"; packaging and leftovers either dropped, left behind or tossed out car windows by inconsiderate pigs within ten minutes of leaving the joint.

In my case it hasn't worked though - I still won't touch the shit.

Ha, a while back now.

Went to one of these All you can eat restaurants

While in the mens room taking a Pee,

this fella comes in and takes a Pee then goes out without washing his hands.

Dog thinks what a dirty bugga, and thinks I will look for this fella when I get back to my table.

( I had just completed certificate 111 in Food Handling.)

Couldn't find him anywhere?

Looking behind the kitchen counter, he is one of the cooks... :vom: :vom:
Smile :)

As distasteful as this is, it probably does not pose that great a hazard unless he has recently been travelling the Hershey highway with it. Jokes aside, this indicates that he probably doesn't wash his hands after doing a No. 2 as well and faecal contamination of your Whopper (see above) is certainly not desirable

Dude, you should have stood in a prominent area of the restaurant, pointed at him, and yelled out end-to-enders style "The cook didn't wash his hands after he peed! I saw him pee just now and he walked straight out! What a filfth hole! I aint paying for none of this food!"
Then you could have stormed out.

What did you do?

My bet would be, you did nothing. You completed your meals, paid for them and walked out without saying a word to the management or staff and have never returned. Like like 98% of the population.

And nothing gets fixed. :(

I'm Not having a go Dog_ger but why complain about it now if you did nothing back then when it happened?

Having worked in hospitality for over 12 years it's all too familiar
