1 pt win over an improved Portland outfit on the weekend- I'll take that!
22 pts down at 3/4 time, came home with the aid of a slight breeze...

i work with Tom Booth who plays for PAOC and he always tells me he dominates... is he as good as what he reckons?!?

he's played a few in the Cs and less in the Bs. i'd tell you a number but it always changes apparently, he said 23 when he can get it...

i guess if you don't know who he is then he doesn't go as well as he tells me he does... haha!
I am not talking to you for 3 minutes because you punched me in the head and it hurt and that was not okay for you to do

only if you do it fairly mr rooster :) as i umpire their home games - stress home games.
if it's legal go as hard as you like - and depending if i like the player i may even allow a bit of latitude :)

How are the uni boys arrogant?
I think they don't take themselves to seriously...?
Good to see Dave Gilbert is back in form for uni - can kick a big bag - much more dangerous than I expected...

They take themselves far too seriously   and seem to hold grudges for marginally late late bumps/tackles.

careful punky go easy on these little boys as they seem to cry foul when tackled/bumped hard*.

bring back the Roseworthy boys to C4 they were a much better bunch of blokes.

Fair enough - although I reckon you forget how young the uni boys are. With age they'll get their heads around footy with men.

Finn, I think you'll find players respect umpires who do let the 50/50 stuff go. What frustrates players, is when Ump's pick up a borderline free, & let the more obvious stuff go.
Also, with regards to the "rough stuff", my opinion is- cowardly king hits/unsuspecting hits (from a clenched fist), throw the book at them, players trade blows- give 'em both 5-10 mins each on the side.
We're not looking for umpires to become part of the game, but act as an independant arbitrator.

That's my personal view.

that was some of the stuff that was overlooked. Thats why i was surprised. 1 guy from our side who i had never playd with who eventually got sent off for 10, prob hit 5 guys with clenched fists in some Ultimate fighter type situations!. Dont care if hes on the same team or not i hate that crap. I had my fair share of scuffles through the day but it was all shirt pulling and bit of aggressive bumping. That i like
