As I said, Woofa, the current forwards didn’t appear to “stick it up you” as much as it would otherwise appear.

That's how I interpretted Woofa's post as well - it's the ring in comment that gets me.

A ring in is not a kid that is at the club 3 nights a week AFTER training with WWE and who always makes himself available at every opportunity for any grade. A ring in is not a kid that has played with TW for the past 11 years. A ring in is someone like "Gavin Wangeneen" who swans in for 1 week and is never seen again.

Jarred Allmond has played for TW this season already - he will qualify for finals if TW is in and if WWE are not.

I've actually made some inquiries & your right Ace, my earlier comments about the TW forward line may still stand to an extent. However its always good to get the service of your young stars back from SANFL duties. Interesting side note to all that. Apparently the reason no scores for that game were in the paper was cos young Jared Allmond wasn't cleared by the eagles to play for the Roosters. Sources say he actually came up with an injury to get out of playing for the Eagles so he could have a big night on friday at the school prom. Obviously a big talent this kid judging by his ability to snare 8 goals in our league whilst playing with a massive hangover.

Your sources are nowhere near the facts Woofa - you should re-check them.

The reasons there were no scores in the paper is because the ACTING team manager missed sending to the Producer - just like he did the week before. Nothing to do with WWE.

I was told that Allmond will not feature in the best players so that the Eagles would not find out he played. Seems that it would make more sense to not submit scores to the Sunday Mail rather than submit them without including a guy who kicks 8 goal & not be included in the best players. That would just wreak of a cover up & arouse suspicion. To not put in scores would seem a pretty smart option to me!!!

i think u should look at the ladder woofa and u will notice 1030 which represnets the amout of points two wells has scored so how does that explain a forward line that needs to lift their efforts and its almsot 200 more points then any1 else, but i supose all that has come from the midfield

Yep, as you said, mostly from the midfield!

7. Hamley 2

Who will Final 4?

IMO only Pies and Eagles are certainties for finals and Rams & Bombers certain to miss out.

Who does everyone think will get last 2 spots?

I am a bit biased and think Tigers and Peckers with the Roosters to miss out.

It is getting interesting thats for sure. The recent upsurge from the Peckers and downsurge from the Eagles and the Tigers suggests to me that even the Eagles are under the pump to maintain a spot in the 4.

IMHO only the Pies are in for sure - Hamley and Virginia start planning for next year - Roosters, Peckers, Tigers and Eagles fighting for the other 3 spots.

Spot on there i reckon. It will take a big effort from any team beat Mallala to the flag this year.

This weeks round of matches has a couple of interesting clashes;

Mallala host a rejuvianted Two Wells, Pies for me they will simply be too good all over the ground by a comfortable 5 goals.

Balaklava host the Bombers, the Peckers to win and win well to keep a hold on 4th spot.

the close game of the round will be Virginia vs United at Ram Park. Virginia got up in a close one at the water tower last time and will expect this game to again be close while Longies get over the injuries. If Davey & co are back I think the Tigers might just get up.

Hazbeen i agree with your tips:

I would assume that Balak will want to win and win well for 2 reasons:
1. To boost % as this will be very important @ the end of the year
2. To make up for a humiliating loss to the Bombers earlier in the year.

I think that the Magies and Roosters will be a close game before the Magies blow it out to 7-10 goal win in the last quarter

Virgina are still proving to be a competitive team, but are struggling to finish off games. Once again i think that United will kick away in the last quarter.

The loss to the Bombers was hard fealt by the Peckers. We had our youngest team for the season that day due to injuries and were with the Bombers all day until the last 15 minutes. I think our back 6 that day contained 4 teenagers and we were without our captain Hayden Walker due to suspension and all 3 Evans brothers due to injury.

Mark my words the Peckers will be out for redemption this week.

Fair to suggest that the Peckerheds will get the job done this time round, and if Hamley front up with the same atttitude they dis last week, they will be on the end of an absolute pasting.

Two Wells need to get across the line to prove they can swim in the grown-ups pool, otherwise they are leaving themselves open to an early footy trip. Tough ask though!!

And Longies need to get up and get themselves back amongst it, with the recent form of Balak and The percentage of the other club's within the four, they need to put their hand up. And probably should. Unless the Port magpies have a bye and the rams get a few in, then look out.

longies definitly on the improve, no neck taylor got better as the game went on and will regain broad and daveys this week. they will be hitting there straps at right time of the year unlike last year where they got lot of injuries leading into finals.

balak though are going to be hard to beat as they find form and fitness

and 2wells are a real chance of knocking the magpies off this week. they are genuine contender this year with good mix of runners and big strong forwards

mallala are going along ok but they are the hunted and it is hard coming up everyweek against sides wanting a crack at them

hamley are a young side so they will have there inconsistent days like on weekend but will definitly rattle some of the top four sides in closing part of the season

and you can never right the eags off. well coached and well drilled with lots of talented footballers. proven on the big stage

virginia to get erin phillips to be runner every week.....

One of the young Hamley players who impressed me with a few things he did, although he was hot and cold, was Angus Lemmon (sp?) - I reckon this kid will be a very good player for Hamley if he hangs around. A couple of times he showed strength and awareness around the traffic, and took a few strong pack marks.

Hamley coach was working him off the bench - don't know if he was carrying something but I would have had him on the field for the 4 quarters.

Why does Allmond give a stuff what the Eagles think. He obviously doesnt have his priorities set on playing football for them if he is sneaking around just to play A grade for Two Wells against the bottom team, he may as well just give up. What is he trying to achieve by playing for Two Wells behind thier back. If he's not fully committed to playing football in town then why not just throw in the towel. Its the same story for the other boys that TW had playing for them from the Eagles, its probably not the best road to take if they plan to play senior footy at that level i wouldnt have thought.
From TW point of view, are they encouraging him to stick it out in town or come home??? Lets hope its the former, but it seems strange that they were rushed in to play the bottom side, not exactly a crucial game.

Or did the eagles play on a different day?

It is great however that these local lads are keen to stick around and be involved with their local footy club still. Often players such as these will shop around. Great future for the Roosters if they can hang on to them.

Nope i'm sure you'd understand that WWT wouldn't be rapt, but Jazz was genuinely not well. (Doesn't say much about the rest of us.) From my understanding he is still fully committed down at woodville Though, the other boys have decided by themselves to commit to the roosters for the duration of the season, some citing travel and general wellness issues, whatever the reason, they are all two wells through and through and we are glad to have em back.

No such thing in the APFL. If he pleads guilty he gets 2 weeks regardless of how bad it was.

Well Well, i recall mentioning this problem about a fortnight ago and got slagged for it! I used to get along fine with joel when he was a kid,but something strange has happened since. Damaging footballer for sure ,but packing your bags and going home is the master of all dummy spits. He should of sat on the bench and just copped it,but he chose to carryon like a hick.Is it too much to ask for an apology swamp?
