What intrigued me was the 16 pages of registrants who never posted anything.

At one stage when trolls were running rampant I think we might have made this a site which you could only read by being registered which would explain a lot of them.
The other issue is people aren't automatically registered as we manually activate each individual person (by choice as a way to keep some ratbats/trolls/spammers) out, so a lot might register with the intent of immediately posting but aren't given that chance, which we think is a good thing on the whole.

I think you'll find a lot registered, like me, during the great server crash when you had to restrict the numbers viewing the site.

The most important thing to boost the post count is not to do it by posting rubbish posts. Since I can't recall your name coming up amongst the Mods, well done.

Maybe hazbeen is being tutored into posting lots ?

No, because:

a) They are informative

b) That means that I would have posted a lot of rubbish myself

I'm not really the police on this, besides, anyone who would do the following just to get their post count up would be told not to do it:

-Engage in msn like conversations such as this thread turned into on BigFooty http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=239786
This was one of the many reasons I haven't posted on there for months

-Post really short answers like "I agree"
-trying to troll at every opportunity

Personally I think the threads with score updates be it SANFL, AFL or NRL are fantastic, quite often when Im out and about I'll use my phone to go straight to this website to get updates of all 3 codes and use it as one stop shop so I say "Keep it going!".
I don't think people using these topics to increase their post counts is an issue, personally I'd like to reduce my post count, I don't think one person on this site puts any more prestige in someone who's posted 10,000 times or someone's who posted 10 times, we're not like that here.
Once again personally, I welcome people that post score updates of anything and say keep it going!

Just checked the site's stats and we've hit an average of 210,453 hits a day this month which is a huge increase on the previous month of 174,620 which held the previous record from September last year which had 173,050 a day.
This month should be the first month that goes past 6 million hits for the month!

We've had hits from more than 25 countries including 12 from a country I'd never heard of, Seychelles.

The site keeps getting bigger.
In july we averaged 245835 hits a day.
This month we're averaging 283503 hits a day!
We hit 7.6 million last month and could possibly crack the 8 million mark for the first time this month!

As a guide in September 07 we had 5.2 million hits.
