I like the look of them tips. Dont quite think it will be 15 goals for us. Eagles are a side that could really shape finals if they are not in it themselves.

Whats the word on those 'units' from united? at least 6 weeks id hope for the low acts they commited. Real tough laying a haymaker on an 18 year old kid.

Do tell BB, I heard the ump had it in for the Units and they were treated unfairly, the plot thickens :-k

I wont say the umps had it in for units. Although some decisions were poor, it was for both sides. We no doubt had the better of the free kicks but alot of that was due to putting our head over the ball and earning them.

Essentially it was a close game. They started better than us and were right in it. Genuinley matching us and keeping us below an acceptable standard, by our standards.

I think it was a bit of rough and tumble in the second quarter that got it started. A push hear and there that had blokes coming in to pull each other off. Then punches started getting thrown. Jumper punches and proper ones. Mainly from one or two centrals blokes. More blokes run in. One had Jimmy K and the ground and got a few in around the head. One guy laid a fat haymaker on gentilcore and knocked him out. Kid didnt even see it coming. Kid had know idea where he was. Came back on in the 2nd half and ended up with 2nd best on votyes back at the club. Borghart for us came running in and grabbed the guy that punched dale in a head lock and pulled him away from where dale was laying on the floor. There runner then grabbed borgy from behind. Not sure if it was the runner but someone swang grom behind borgy and got him in the face as well. Whoever that tool is tell him to get a haircut. One filthy mullet.

All up we hade two yellows (jimmy and borgy) and they had two yellow and a red. They got another red later in the game for continual back chat to the umpire (4th quarter). The lad got a yellow and he refused to run off. The ump told him to get a move on but he just walked at a snails pace so the ump upgraded the card colour.

Essentially after the fight we kicked five goals with them barley touching it and it was game over from there. Continued to pile it on in the 2nd half. The game actually meant alot to mitch. Considering the youth of the side and they way the tried to rough us up, not once did anyone not put there head over the ball. Just answered violence with brilliant footy.

I anticipate that will be the last time in a long time GG play units anyway. Two different clubs going in two very very different directions.

Ill ignore the details regarding the tools sitting around at the round end throwing bottles and stuff at our defenders in the last quarter.

I guess your club has added incentive to remain in Div 5 given your history of playing there.

oh yeah LM..no-one will miss them in a5 and i feel sorry for the a6 teams next year ( just hope it dont include us! :) )

kicked 7 out there one day and all i can remember is that bloody guy on the megaphone abusing me !

in 2005 we played them 3 games in a row at kenilworth...last game for the round..first final and then prelim final..we won all by about 20 goals..i think they were sick to death of kenilworth and kooka park

anyway thats further down the track for us, playing cufc..few games before that we need to perform in first

We got them at home this week, I wouldn't have taken Tully as a dirty player, sure we'd like to thrash them, but it would be nice to have to work hard for the win. We got a few back for this week, should make selection interesting.
