Round 14: Adelaide vs Geelong

Well this is a very tough task for Adelaide, but i will not count them out.

Adelaide play well at AAMI Stadium and will give Geelong a real show.

I think Geelong are just too good though.

Geelong by 15 points.

I am hoping for the best possible result - a Crows win - but I would be pleased to finish that close to Geelong as things stand.

I agree that Geelong will win a close match as AAMI Stadium is not a happy hunting ground for us despite improved results at the venue in recent years. Most of the improved results to be fair though, have come at Port's expense and not Adelaide's.

I am very relieved to see that McLeod will miss as he is a player who has done well against us in the past. Geelong will welcome back former Eagle Matty Stokes and gun fullback Matty Scarlett but who they come in for is the million dollar question.

I am hoping we come out and tear Adelaide a new one but the Crows would have been stung by recent efforts so I'm tipping some top opposition in front of the home crowd. The return of Brad Ottens to the side is pivotal to Geelong's recent improved form and with a formidable ruck pairing and a gun midfield, the Crows able defence will be under the pump.

Really looking forward to the match and would love to see us really crunch a side we've had problems with in the past, but I can see a familiar tough match eventuating with the Cats coming out on top by 19 points in the end.

regards,

REB

Yeah some good points there REB,

I think the week off will have helped the crows a lot! a few sore bodys will be cherry ripe and hopefully we can play like we did against the hawks but come out on top this time.

I think we can keep the cats tall forwards quiet, its just the small guys like stokes, stevey johnson, chapman etc etc the list goes on that we will have trouble with and that kill every team! Players like stiffy and who whoever else comes in for macca will have to be on there game!

Crows by a goal!

Cats by 6 goals minimum IMHO ... Which isn't really a pasting as such against a team THAT good.

Hard to find a weakness in that Geelong lineup and even wet weather might not help as we saw at AAMI last year when they plundered the Power.

I agree, not going to beat Geelong by going head to head in a scorefest, so they are going to have to try to ugly the game up a bit.

not going to beat Geelong by talking up winning in the press all week either :? :?

Didn't Craigy learn from Mark Williams in the GF last year??

Don't upset a team that will and can smash you for it...
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined
