Guess what!! John Wilson in hospital, won't be back for a fair while so looks like the Peter Maddern Cooking Show will remain "on air" for a few more weeks.
Can someone ring me on Friday morning once they start talking about footy??

Do yourself a favour CC, don't bother turning it on, you won't be missing much.
What footy they do talk isn't the footy we know!

Pasta with duck livers, about as appertising as the rest of the show. To think Maddern is doing it for several weeks is enough for me, I'm out of there!!

Well guys, you finally have your chance. Mark Shadiac is calling for any feedback for SAAFL media, go to the Amateur League website for more details.

PS: Don't forget to put in a good word for the Grassroots crew

Just sent this to the SAAFL via their website.

"I am very disappointed with the content of the SAAFL Friday morning show on 5RPH. I understand this is voluntary but to have some of the content e.g. recipe of the week, is turning people away in droves. I am sorry but until it improves, I will be one that wont be listening. It's supposed to be a footy show, not a mish mash of other crap"

Received a response from Mark Shadiac within 15 minutes stating that this info would be passed on to the presenter. I note the email was cc'd to Peter Maddern.

Here's your opportunity boys to let them know your thoughts, don't waste it!

No improvement today, turned off when the "cooking fish in the dishwasher" segment started. Oh my God! :(

Listened again thismorning, not really sure why. Does anyone actually know who is playing this week, couldn't make any sense of the show.

My biggest wish is that Peter Maddern would check his facts via the SAAFL before making stupid statements. His inference this morning to Gepps fudging a player in their U'18 team was nothing more than a guess. If he'd checked with the league they would have informed him it was an accidental entering of player's birth date incorrectly which according to Iscore stated the lad was not registered with any other club, in fact he was and the lads were stripped of 3 winning games and the points that went with it. No argument with that from the club.

I don't think it's that hard to check with the SAAFL, albeit it might be above him, maybe he reckons he knows it all anyhow.
Mark Bayliss made it a part of his routine every week, why can't the "learned one"

Yawn, talked about KG leaving 5AA for 15 minutes, qucikly rushed through Div 2, and Div 1 to get to the Cooking Segment. Can anyone tell me why Darcy Evans is on the show, maybe he should concentrate on making himself a regular Div 1 umpire before he comments on players and teams in that grade.

Just another dose of the usual crap. I guess Darcy does at least offer a different monotone with his voice rather than the insipid comedy from Peter Maddern.

Terrible again, but hey, no surprise there. Just a query, usually the 5RPH crew would select the Team of the Year, with some knowledge of performances and players alike. Surely they could not do it this year, they have no idea. Who will select it or will they have it at all?

In the most recent newsletter the league have asked that the Div1 clubs nominate any one they think is worthy. Could be interesting.

Listened to the crap again this morning. I don't need to hear about Michael Phelps and if he is the greatest olympician of all time. I thought this was about SAAFL. I only get to hear the first 20-25 minutes of the show due to work but to have to listen to that CRAP. Have had the misfortune to hear a complete show only once this year.
Get rid of the cooking section what garbage.
If I had the time I would gladly put my hand up to do this show having been around the SAAFL for over 20yrs but work commitments do not permit.
C'mon Politbureau get your act together and get some decent hosts on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was channel hopping thismorning & the 5 mins i heard of the 5RPH show was Gaza apparently have 9 first choise players out injured.
I'm not sure if i can believe that, i think their making excuses for a slack pre-season.
Maybe the players just went through the motions & expected to be their finals time, knowing they are never held accountable for their performances, its always the coaches down that way that cop the blame!
Good luck to Gaza this week on losing 8 in a row!

Had a listen thismorning & i must say it was a "little" better without that other clowns voice & cooking show.
Bob Cross spoke very well & i was impressed with his history & run down as a coach from his Ferrdyn Pk days to state footy & his beloved Woody Sths.
I was wondering if Darcy has been speaking to the footy opperations manager of Henley? he stated Henley had 12 A graders out of the side that lost to Gepps Cross  Isn't it funny when you win 2 weeks prior against the same side with virtually the same side theirs nothing heard of in terms of injury but when you lose ( get flogged ) the word (injuries) is raised, funny that Darcy, it didn't stop you from selecting Henley last week to beat Gepps, maybe thats because they won the previous game against them? now your trying to make an excuse like Henley for your inability to pick the winner.
