Disappointing as far as the kicking matter. One of the worst things I have seen in footy. A player on all fours being intentionally kicked in the head with a full swing of the leg and boot. Lucky there was no serious injury sustained but the potential was there.

I agree piesman....a totally gutless act, and yet again an equally gutless act from this football league and the tribunal. GROW SOME BALLS !!!!

OF is a disgrace to his club and the competition, should not be playing.

Bit intrigued by the 2 matches for kicking. Given that this sits pretty high up on the scale, how come only 2 games? Were there extenuating circumstances? SUrely if the kick charge was proven, then 2 games seems unbeleviably inadequate

intriguing is a massive understatement btb...CF also became involved in the incident as a 3rd party and had nothing to do with the initial incident...6 game ban as a minimum in my book.

Agreed, pretty soft effort by the PLFL. One of the more dangerous things I've seen in footy.

Farquarson battles manfully, but would not have been in the best 10 on the ground on Saturday. Highly unlikely that a side that is getting belted each week will poll too manyMM votes. He would be a leading contender for the Augustus Stanbrook Medal tho...

Waybacks with out Schuppan makes that $3 for Tassies look appealing, still not convinced to lay any hard earned though.....Any word on extent of knee injury yet, I heard there was a lot of swelling!! Seems like deja vu when Cunna's did his, reports were positive but there was also the swelling. The ACL bleeds the most and the knee will blow up, sounds not good, wouldn't wish it on anybody.....

haha, you must have good sources mate!

all those late night world cup documentries must've inspired me to have a shot from 35 off the ground instead of picking it up, coach would've been less than pleased if it missed though!!

pretty interesting tumby beating cougars without the likes of j.hunt out of the side, but i supposed with jules doudle out for the year it matched up well. if we beat cougars at home this week, ramblers beat lock, and tumby beat yelanna we will catapault to 3rd spot. 1 game away from second...ahh how the season can change!

Hear about Lenny Hayes' knee? Woke up in the middle of the knight ... ACL gone ... didn't feel anything during the game ... season over.

No worries btb, probably not bad value given the probable conditions (heavy ground?) and I was impressed with Tasmans hardness last week.
I think you would have to murder someone to get 5 weeks in the PLFL!

The Mortlock Shield draw has not been designed to well in my humble opinion. If any team wins only 1 game or nil on the first day they are efectivly out of the competition and the Sunday night shananigans will continue. It looks as if Lincoln City will be on one win and Far West will be on 0 possibly Districts with 1 win aswell. I cant believe we have changed it to this system. So 3 teams will be out till all hours on the Sunday night embarrasing the competition on the Monday.
If that bet wins TRR, will there be $300 on the bar? Grub wouldnt have that much money. Hows the response been from the City players towards Mortlock, the recovery session Sunday will be interesting to see who fronts up after the recent allegations toward Wayback and Souths players from people in the media and the coach himself.
Will anyone beat Great Flinders under this new concept?

apparantly there were some extenuating circumstances in regards to these matters dont know exactly so i cant comment but the club is disappointed with what happened on Saturday and issues are being adressed professionally. As for the OF comment mate i have to disagree. The bloke has served his punishment and has been on his best behaviour since returning to the game. The incident he was reported for was thrown out because it held no substance at all and the bloke seems to cop fairly heavy criticism because of his past record so i reckon we should all give him a break. As for all the other guys involved in crap on the field they have been told it has to stop or they have to go. Incidents on Saturday have gone a long way to disintergrating any credibility we were starting to earn. Hopefully you can all see those incidents for what they were which is not a true rflection of the Boston Football Club in its current state. Thankyou
