thanks go to Johncock, who just had either no idea or no faith in players up the ground or both!!!!!!!

who was standing brownlow JIMMY - everytime he was loose across the half back flank running up the wing - it was ridiculous...

Jimmeh's numbers have been down this year so Bomber told him not to shower for three days before the match. He smelt so bad that chardies wouldn't go near him. As a result, he gave the Blackbirds a birdbath.

I think the key to Geelong is always when Ottens gets on top in the ruck, Good player and when that midfield gets rolling. Christ your in with a tough day.

The only real weakness (although its hardley a problem) I see for the cats is that 2nd tall forward. Mooney is good, Chapman and Johnson are great as those medium sized ackward size forwards and of course Varcoe and Stokes are excellent small forwards. Still the second tall, Probably at this stage I would say Lonergan is the man for that position, just in front of Hawkins in my opinion. Anyway Geelong are very good and the crows are not good enough at this stage.
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

Spot on stanley. Ottens has been managed beautifully by the club this season. He was missed most in the season opener and the Freo and Collingwood games IMO. The second forward option is not as bad as it might have been as we had no right to expect what Lonergan has been able to produce so far this season. Fantastic stuff Tommy.

Cats far too good. The wife was very happy - a good weekend ahead.

Ottens murdered the Crows early - to me Maric was way off and it was pretty much the men against the boys in the midfield and Johncock - has he played a poorer game - just couldn't think out there and coughed it up all night.

Players over ran the footy, left in behind and dropped balls on their own and missed simple handball targets under pressure.

Never been a huge fan of Mumbles which makes it hard to be critical, but with the Crows are always at the cutting edge in many of the new technologies in footy, is it time for Mumbles to be the Coach of the Crows from Monday to Friday with the appointment of a specialist Strategic Coach on Match Day?

This may seem to be ridiculous due to egos getting out of whack, but if you have someone who prepares players as well as anyone re: fitness & motivation to keep improving + has the support of the Mums and Dads who go the footy (who really cares) then why not appoint a real footy coach who can think outside the square and get the Crows home. Could be a Phil Walsh, a Wayne Brittain, could even be a Michael Voss or Nathan Buckley - they could just coach with all the other stuff handled by Mumbles.

When was the last time the Crows won a convincing or even upset game against a real CONTENDER? It just doesn't seem to happen.

Look it will probably never happen, but it happens in Big Business - and footy is a business thesedays and results are all that matters.

Some food for thought.

Agree fully with Stan and REB, a Geelong with a non dominant Otto might still win games but a Geelong with a dominant Otto will win every game, an awesome aquisition to our club.
