I kept it a secret for a few months, it had to get out sooner or later. I'm not on here to pump up our tyres, we have plenty of work to do. I have respect for all our opponents.

Dont worry lads, the lid is very very firmly attached. Sealed air tight with sillcone. If we get up this week it will very hard to contain though  We ballsed up big time in finals last year and if it wasnt for some last quarter heroics in a prelim, it easily could have heccies in div 5.

Hopefully our young side took a lot of lessons out of last years dissapointment to carry into this years finals series. I love mistakes because you learn lots. I just hate making the same one twice.

Dont think for one second that im saying we will be there but the teams i would least like to play in a gf, in order would be smithfield, greenies, blacks, rosies, plympton. I think acres still have the best side in the comp but smithies match up against us and play us very well. They may do some damage in the finals. Lots of water to go under the bridge yet.

Fair analysis there BB, good to see you guys not getting too far ahead of yourselves, should be a great test for you this week.

Hey, hows your clubroom progress going at the moment, has there been any further actions either for or against. I must say, I went to Harpers Field for the first time a few weeks back and was most impressed. The changerooms are understandably ridiculous atm, a clubhouse up on the hill close to the fence would make it a great venue. Excellent playing surface and surrounding areas cap it off. the coaches boxes on the other side of the ground has is advantages and disadvantages though.

It would be a great place to play cricket.

Hey BB how has Tommy Oliver gone since coming back from North? Is there anyone in the comp that can stop Scudds?

The last update we have had from the president is that construction will begin at the end of the season, so late september, regardless of grant success. Thats what i took from it anyway.

We have had a visit from the ministerial secretary for the regional partneships scheme and after that things are looking very positive. It was quite timely that a spot in the decking leading up to rooms that we need to have fixed gaveway as he walked over it, essentially having his foot go through the floor  a lasting impression to say the least. Furthermore he almost spat out his coffee when he heard that we reguarly recieve 60+ at training, and then ask them to change all in the same room. Wanting to be good hosts and all, we completley respect that the opposition facilities are not up to scratch as well.

We are quietly confident that we will recieve the funding we were promised. Paperwork and redtape stand in way, and obviously a final ruling decision from the powers that be. The lid on the grant is more firmly attached than that holding or on field season together.

As you have pointed out LM, the facility will be an excellent one once completed but until then we will soldier on with what we have got.

I have heard that TTG will be building new changerooms ready for next footy season. I believe they recieved a grant/funding(dont quote me), but they havent paid for anything so why should this be anything different.

Tommy is going well.
In honesty after his first hit out with bigger bodies in a while he struggled. He was dropped to the b's for the units game but was a last minute a-grade inclusion after on of the lads called up sick. Played really well against units and has sured up his spot after another good game on the weekend. Excellent to have another small forward come midfield rotation that has played at a higher level to go along with the likes of boxer and hoklas

Who can stop scudds? Well If pat mccarthy decided to leave golden grove and line up for some one else then maybe . Seriously though, P-Mac would have to be an monty for CHB in the team of the year. In regards to shane, i honestly dont know. I dont the know all the opposition teams inside out but im sure there is some one that can. Although shane kicks alot of goals, double teaming him means more space for simmonds, ravlich, hokals, seaton etc. Took a good pack mark 4 onto one against units the other week.

We dont want to be to scudds concious. I think our goal scoring success both this year and last has been attributed to an even contribution across the park. Last year it was ravlich, hoklas, tuckwell and chad parrish. This year scudds, ravlich, simmonds and hoklas.

I beleive that is the case. I dont want to sound out of place but you can understand the frustration at them receiving a grant for an upgrade when we were denied one to even get us off the ground.

Good to hear about tommy great lad and will end up asking his price and have clubs chasing him once he gets a bit bigger/older.

Double teaming scudds is terrible move as is getting into body on body cos he is a hippo. He was shown up in div 2 when the defender sat off him 2 or 3 steps and jumped and punched.... He was fairly ineffective in his two div 2 seasons of footy. Surely greenacres would have paid someone that can do that?

Plan is to get to the higher grades before all these kids start getting poached
I would assume greenacres have a good plan for him this weekend. They are a very good team.
Maybe Aaron hudson? They played juniour footy together so it could be fun to watch.

Huddo would be an ok match up dunno if he is smart enough to play that style of defense however if the weather stays bad it takes scudds out of the game. Would be a good game to watch the 2 best teams 2 good forwards and quality midfielders.

We just used to watch Scudds drop the ball. If Scudds is that damaging I'd say Shaun Trevilliano, the Italian stallion will get the job, though I did hear he struggled against Scudds earlier in the year.

The problem is that the GG on-ballers have exceptional delivery skills to him. He can get a move on and they plonk the ball out in his path, therefore, you need someone tall, strong and great acceleration. They tend to not just bang it in high to him. Yes Shrek, Trevillian would seem a good option, he's pretty handy around the ball and up forward though.

Greenies are the only ones that have knocked them off so far this season, they should be confident at home. They seem to have got some players back, their B's have been performing lately.

Well, it seems Shane can play any sport well.. 2 Years go I played against him in a rep cricket match at rose park and his first 7 shots were 6 6 6 6 1 6 6 on his way to making 84 off about 25 balls.. Rose Park is a large ground and he made it look effortlessly small..
