A couple of interesting results from yesterday Rosies easy and Acres comfortbly against the in form, flying unstopable pacesetters of the D5 competion.

Observation from GG v Acres game, no Scudds GG no chance, very one dimensional going into attack what happened to the big guy?? not enough hot food at the northern end of the ground. although he did come off limping heavily
Opinions and bumholes..you either have one or are one IMO

Not sure about the big man, he came off half way thru the second quarter and did not come back onto the park.. in fact did not see him on the bench even, maybe he was in rooms getting treatment, but it was a heavy limp at the end of the game... maybe that hamstring still worrying him or a baby cow

Talk was Hounds a 5-8 goal better Teams with the Ins

Would ove to know if this is True!!! Sprint, hope i havent let anything slip

not sure what you've been hearing BL but I can't confirm your rumour. If it was true then it would be very handy for season end.
BB a little off the mark though - no rugari's for rest of '08 and Parente can only play when not working. Millikan OS as far as i am aware.

Itzy is a no-brainer... definate!
Rumbles only at FF while Ando was out, or is it more permanent? Not a bad fill-in up there though!
Shauny is young, but doesn't get beaten very often. I can't comment on the top teams as i've only seen a few Rosewater games. Either way, he is appreciated by the Rosies faithful and is a good local product!
CHB is such a crucial position and there would be 8-9 teams that could put their CHB's name forward.
How about Rusty Ware? Couldn't believe my luck when he walked in off the street in 2006. Ruck problem solved... In a very big way!!!

Whats the go?

Kookas flogged Zed
Greenies over GG Scudds injured?? :o
red dogs over Smithies LM
Farmers over CU :(
Rosies over Blacks Sprint :D

As was said a while ago by someone else I think the home ground advantage is huge in this Division.

disappointing result on sat DB, particularly for one of our lads being the first one to reach 50 club games. up 9.6 to 9.4 at half time but struggled in the 2nd half, looked tired.

interested to hear the GG v Greenies report from Burraboys.

Boys versus men is the best way to sum it up.
I think we outplayed them in the 1st 1/4 but did not capitalise on the breeze.
Enter the freakshow that is adam forth....gameover.
We got within 2 and a bit kicks early in the last but you never felt we would run over them.

Still have every confidence that we can beat them but it was dissapointing to see us play so poorly considering the importance of the game in the context of the season.

We are by no means certain to win the next two either. This patch will really test the character of the lads.

Scudds has a slight strain on the calf. Touch and go this week. He is away for plympton so we might give him two off in a row.
Rowan shenton hamstrung.
Scott Darkins (ruckman) struggling
Scottt Charlton (VC) in melbourne this week.

at least 3 changes to an already sore and sorry side.
What is comforting is the amazing depth in the b's.
Confident we can cover them all.

In summary. Greenacres never really should have lost the favourites tag but by no means should they think they are untouchable. Class act....but beatable.

like i keep saying, when you get an invasion of so called gun kilburn players you can expect to win a few games. money makes the world go round down at greenies

Very Constructive Bulldog... Build a bridge champ...

Why do these so called Kilburn players keep getting rubished because they left a footy club to play somewhere else. All they are guilty of is a group of mates who wanted to play together but not at Kilburn.. get over it guys and perhaps give them a little credit for their performances...

Hardly an invasion bulldog. 7 players from last years Kilburn team, one of whom played for Greenacres the year before. You'd have to give credit to the other guys in the team as well.

only 7 ?

what about the ones who got injured earlier in the year and arent playing now?..play fair now boys..the figure was more like 12-13..i have no problem at all with what they have done...good luck to them..if we could pull 12 players from another clubs A grade we would be happy as pigs in sh!t!

what was the game like griffen?

imo greenies are the hardest hitting team in the comp as stated last week..and once the forth genie is out the bottle its "party time"

Was never 12 players from Kilburn's As.

Simon Geue is the only one injured that I am aware of. Adam Donald up and down between the As and Bs this year. Doug Reid left pre-season and Andrew Parkhouse only ever played Bs there because of work.

The rest played last week.

Nathan Wright
Sean Trevillian
Leith Wright
Sol Fitzgerald
Gojko Knezevic
Graham Hudson
Danny Ryan

I haven't looked at the best players regularly but I don't think any of them have been dominating regularly so you have to give a lot of the credit to the other Greenacre boys.

i think you will find wright(ruck), hudson, knezevic, trevillian and ryan(when playing) have all featured heavily in the best players shrek..take all the kilburn boys out and you have a team that would not play finals imo..the whole midfield is ex kilburn..ryan and trevillian have complimented forth really well

their best player from last year(schallelehn) has hardly played and bamford has got a few mentions..and of course there is mr forth who may win the goalkicking..but they had him last year as well and went nowhere..kenilworth even beat them last year

Griffen, welcome back fella :D

Dogsbreath Cafe, yeah, horrible day for the Panthers out at Plympton Park, got robbed of a few goals aswell as them getting at least 4 frees from point blank range, the worst display of umpiring that I've seen for the year, we didn't capitalise when we had the gale force breeze, a bit under-manned and outplayed. Personally, I thought it would be a bonus win if we got over the line, we can still take a fair bit out of it and move on and look forward to our next encounter with the Red dogs (Hopefully we get one). You guys the usual unpredictable selves, it makes for a very interesting last few rounds.

Sprinter, pressures on mate, the draw may have saved your arse, you should win at least 3 out of 5 to finish the season, should be enough for a home final, 4 should give you the double chance.

I'm with you Zedman in regards to Greenies, good luck to them if they picked up a few quality players, they were a real force a few years back.
