Kilkenny beer

Postby Sploosh » Fri Jul 11, 2008 10:30 pm

Just had a refreshing kilkenny beer this week at an Irish pub, quite nice it was too, wondering if it's possible to buy it at liquor shops, or is it too rare to be found? Was hoping to get some tomorrow, so if anyone knows of a grog shop/chain that sells it, that would be brilliant.

Dan Murphys have it for sure (Welland).

Look for the Brown Cans (about 440 ml IIRC )

Should be pretty easy to find.

Haven't bought any for ages, but it just seemed a fraction better from the tap rather than the cans.

Just like Guinness, Kilkenny should ONLY be on tap...
Cans just ain't the same (widget or not)
But if ya do have a coupla tinnies, pour it into a glass & let it sit for a while!

Forget Kilkenny (although it is nice)

Smythwicks is the answer... but you'll struggle to find it...
