Didnt see the game on the weekend Shrek- was out of town although I know that the lads were very happy with the win.

By the way Shrek, can you put a finger on Kilburn's inconsistency this year- they seem to be able to beat anyone or lose to anyone on their day...

Perhaps it comes down to us expecting to win. the four games we have lost are to Flinders Park x 2, Salisbury West and SPOC. Flinders Park are a good team but SPOC and SW are games we never should have lost(not taking away from how well they played) and it can be hard to get the right attitude going into those games. I reckon we also thought the SW game was a once off and that it wouldn't happen again. It did, so hopefully we'll be switched on enough to win those games in the future.

After beating FP and Walkies you guys would have to be considered a good chance for the GF. I was told Rolfe ran amok last week. It's panning out to be a very interesting run home to the finals.

Well well shrekkie wats the update...another loss for the highly paid kilburn boys....now sitting fourth....

How do you rate Walkies?

Also Iggies and Flinder fought out a close one.....I havent rated Igs in the two times we played but they seem to challenge the other good sides.

Eastern park un convincing against salisbury aswell with several out injured / sick.

Top spot seems between the two clubs now and will be vital come finals time.

$55k in 08 player payments to be sitting fourth in Div 3. Mmmmmmmmmm - there's something wrong there.

wow only 55K
It was 100k then 80k now 55k
A game that could've gone either way
I will say the umpiring was probably the worst i have seen, for both sides
One umpire in particular, blew his whistle at every contest, why dont they let the players play ?????
2 minutes to go he put it away though when it was in Kilburn's forward line and there could have been a couple of frees given that were given earlier in the game.
How are these umpires rated, like i understand there is no reports done on them from clubs anymore, so who are they answerable to and by whom
Rotter they are also = 3rd by the way
at least your $55k ( including coaches trainers etc ) is more closer to the mark than some GUESSES on here, well done

Flinders Park 13 11 0 2 1487 1054 22 58.5%
Walkerville 13 8 0 5 1628 1243 16 56.7%
Kilburn 13 8 0 5 1445 1193 16 54.8%
Old Ignatians 13 7 0 6 1351 1142 14 54.2%
Para Hills 13 7 0 6 1284 1241 14 50.9%
Woodville South 13 4 0 9 1046 1350 8 43.7%
St Peter's OC 13 4 0 9 1044 1461 8 41.7%
Salisbury 13 3 0 10 956 1469 6 39.4%
Salisbury West 13 2 0 11 1024 1603 4 39%

Looks like fourth to me!!!!

When you blokes played flinders the excuse was the umpires treated it like a netball game (Big shreks words) and now this week you are saying you didn't get some soft frees....make your minds up how you want the game adjudicated.....

Possibly you just got beat by a better side on the day maybe????????

Don't try and twist my words into an excuse boozehound. I never said the umpires at Flinders Park affected the outcome, just the style of the game.

Booze, If your just looking to start a fight or get a reaction then take it somewhere else. Thats the last thing anyone really wants around here. If you just posting to envote a negative response then dont bother.

Stan, not trying to be funny but I think the word is "invoke", and I'm not posting just to invoke a discussion.

SHREKY: Do you think or do you know, if any of the cash floating about at Kilburn will be spent wisely on a junior programme????

A lot of work has been put into restarting juniors. However starting up juniors from scratch again will be bloody hard. We'd be competing with a lot of other clubs in the area with well established programmes and it is hard to find selling point to get kids to Kilburn.

Hopefully future success in the seniors, the facilities and new housing in the area will help it happen in the future.
