It's alright Scoob, I just had a personal guided tour of the towers and have to say I was also impressed with the building and everything in it.
Few jobs remain - Door signage, bit of a piant job going on, general tidy up - other than that - very good.
The outside definitely not the ants pants yet. Water lying around very close to boundary line in at least 2 places. No scoreboard yet but apparently when it comes it will be something and it would want to be for 80 big ones. Timekeepers to operate elctronic scoreboard from their box. Oh there was one thing with the building - the timekeepers box has a lot of work yet to be done -nothing in there yet.
Conclusion for now - inside good - outside probably will be when complete and they can iron out the bugs.
Interesting to see how the sun setting will affect spectators from the clubroom side.

The 3 teams bickering over these ovals are all Lincoln City teams? What does that tell you?
The sun, the rain on the windows, not incorporating any elevated outdoor seating, the coaches boxes with the weather coming straight in..... if you comit a crime you will have to do your time at Ravendale instead of the prison! It is all a bad mistake!

scooby - forget the armchair critics buddy - Tasmans have a clubrooms that is the envy of every other club in the league and should be congratulated for their forward planning and thinking........people will knock it (and hell I was one during the initial stages).....but now it's there, it's built and you should be very very proud of it......btb and I will continue to pump and promote it - like we have for the past 3 weeks on the SSS.......some of BTB's comments are tounge in cheek and need to be taken that way by some "precious" people.......

I have asked a number of people involved to get me a copy of the run down for tommorrows launch, so we can give it some air time tommorrow - none rec'd yet......but now Wally's onto it....

This will be a landmark day in the Tasman Football Club.......

Out There Kayaking has reportedly requested permission to run tours through Pt Lincoln's new mangrove area in Ravendale's forward pocket. Looks like an ideal breeding ground for flamingoes, frogs, platypus and freshwater fish. Personally I'll wait until they build a boardwalk and viewing platform over the area.

You guys picked the worst nite to have your first training there....the water made it look worse than it really is, but the grass (or lack of) has been a problem down the southern end all year.

3 ovals and 3 teams FFS. Pick an oval each and stick with it. It's not the AFL. If anyone wants to check out an oval before playing on it i would suggest walking out on the oval at 1/2 time of the B grade, looking at where the goal posts are, and if necessary walk over to the boundary to see where the line is marked. I don't think I've ever had a Thursday training with Waybacks on the same ground that we've played on 2 days later. I can't recall anyone being disoriented on the Saturday as a result.

Due to the lack of any scoreboard at ravendale tomorrow it decided last night to utilise this new system in the interim;
Rossco and Fatty will keep score by using empty cans (they have consumed) stacked up in the window of the complex. Hopefully there will be a decent score kicked thereby rendering them sh*tfaced by about 1/2 time (that's quite normal for them anyway).
Instead of spending the 60k on the scoreboard perhaps we could use this system permanently (how long would it take for Rossco and Fatty to drink 60k worth of grog?)

Like it, Piesman!
Although...knowing TRR and his drink of choice, 60k may go rather quickly.
A scoreboard may be a cheaper option.
Scoreboard for competitive sport, I would have thought that'd be on the 'mandatories' list for an opening of a sports complex.
Did the hockey crew get all their necessary equipment?

Think they might need that lighthouse at Ravendale in the 'coorong' pocket tomorrow.

Give Snozza a call, I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you borrowed the TCC scoreboard......

Seriously though, surely Pom or some other chalkies (Stationery Plus?) could round up a big whiteboard so there is at least something indicating the state of the game!!

Waybacks could be in trouble tomorrow. Apparently M Blight will be resting in the pocket. I know he loves his fishing and I've heard he's sneaking a fishing rod onto the field to try his luck in the lagoon....

There isn't enough ink at stationary plus to write waybacks score up on the white board!

I'd leave the score and wait till the end of the game... and leave it as a surprise!
Maybe after Sudsy cuts the ribbon he could announce the winner of the footy! or wait to read it in the Sunday Mail?
Ohh no.... I have it.... no scoreboard at any venues this week and we have a blind round!!!
