I don't know which one is the good one. The one from Kilburn is blond and about 5'11".

double chance is the aim LM. pressure is certainly on as it has been all year. not so sure about your view of the draw being better for us than others. the top three are going to be tough to beat on their home deck come finals time.

At least there are a couple of people on here with half a clue about what happens when a club recruits well.

Greenies have been involved with "all that money" for at least the last three years as far as I am aware ... last year was not good ... and there was not a lot of talk about "money makin it go round".. this year the club recruits well, both coaches and players, wins a few games and suddenly its all about the cash.

A few weeks ago after they lost a few games they were duds (according to this forum) and no metion or at least very little of the cash involved.....now after a couple of wins ( and a draw.. with a team that had Ned Kelly on their side) its all only because of the cash and the Kilburn players ... It takes more than just EX players to make a team .. give the boys at greenies who have been there longer than 6 months a bit of credit ... and as Griffin said "build a bridge", get off the band wagon about ex players etc and acknowledge the fact that the people at greenies.. players and committee alike are doing what every club attempts to do and that is be successfull.

Don't "winge and moan" about Greenacres and their financial situation do what someone up there must have done a few years ago and "get off yer arse' and do something for yourselves ... and then just maybe your club will have a few EX footballers running around and winning a few games.
Opinions and bumholes..you either have one or are one IMO

we get to play bos, gg and greenacres last 3 games..sounds like fun

turk: do you think nafc/pokies can help my club out with some spare moolah..we could do with 30k$ if they got it spare?? 8)

we have given your team props when they deserve it turk, but you gotta take the good with the bad..it was a long time ago when they lost 2 games..not a few weeks

why dont you tell us who the top players are who are not new this year, that i didnt mention..schalelehn, bamford and forth..if you only had those 3 and no new players from kilburn you would be out of the finals..thats a fact..the nafc pokies $$ is a great deal for you guys..you dont need to rub it in to all the clubs who get no help from their league teams in their areas, a club is very easy to run with that spare cash available and "others" looking after your "clubrooms"..in our area its west and sturt and we get absolutely nothing from then..be gracious with what you receive and accept criticism if its warranted and good luck in the finals, i think your on the way to div 4 with gg

bos have been fantastic in their first year in div 5..i thought you could scrape into the top 5 at best at the beggining of the year but you have been better than that so well done..and you will shape the finals also imo

sorry Zedman... I thought the aim when a club recruits was to try and get people that will make the club/team better

On the player side
Schallehn.. has not played a game this year and won the Div 5 SAAFL medal 2007...he may be able to play a bit
Bamford.. going ok and has been with greenies for a number of years
Forth.. leading SAAFL goalkicker last 2 years
Tatkovitch.. A grade captain for 3 years

Greenacres also started an u18's team this year and this must help with depth even tho they are travelling rough.

I dont know how much 'pokie' money goes to greenies but I do know that after the amalgamation was announced a couple of years back Norths copped a fair bit of flak about it but 'who's laughing now'. The fact the money that is spent on clubrooms/ facilities is not taxpayers or councils must mean other clubs in the area benifit by the fact that there is more money left in the bucket.

And Zedman I acknowledge the fact that all clubs will attract criticism from time to time and yes greenies will attract their fair share but boys and girls.... please get some new material

Why do these so called Kilburn players keep getting rubished because they left a footy club to play somewhere else. All they are guilty of is a group of mates who wanted to play together but not at Kilburn.. get over it guys and perhaps give them a little credit for their performances...

For once you said something I agree with, if all clubs had the money we would all be doing it, good luck to you guys!

Yep.
Massive game for both clubs.
Considering our injuries and poor form we are a chance to go down.
Dont think im tipping against, we will still have 21 very good a-graders out there but these next two weeks will determine how the 5 shapes up. Few lads need to rebound quickly from last week and few need to step up in general.

How is rosies travelling form going into this one?

Huge game for Rosies! You might have a couple of injuries but given your magoos are flying that shouldn't impact to greatly. as for poor form you lost one game by 3 goals against a highly rated opposition (not poor form). Rosies slowly getting players back but we haven't travelled to well this year.

3 goals doesnt seem like much but the way we played and the way tackled the adversity that faced us was the dissapointing thing. Makes for a very interesting weekend

Yes Zed no arguement it does make it easier ..... but cash does not = success
There are a lot of clubs with cash out there that may not spend it as well as they could or should. If you believe everything on this forum there are clubs in higher grades than div5 with more money than cents!

Thanks for the gl...but you and I both know there is still a lot of water to go under the bridge.

There are some very important games this week that will shape both ends of the table.
I dont think GG are in a slump but if you want to think and talk that way, then you may end up in one ... but rossies will be tough, just ask BOS.
Plympton will be tough ...even at Hicks Park
Blacks will get up... with or without Ned
Smithfield and Elizabeth...the local derby is always hard
Kenilworth and the Farmers.. home ground may prove a big advantage
