Greg Shipperd, current Victorian coach has been named as a possible replacement for the outgoing John Bracewell, whose term finishes in April 2009. Current Indian coach John Wright appears to be the favourite for the role. Shipperd coached Kiwi captain Daniel Vettori during the IPL with the Delhi Daredevils.
Tom Moody has already stated that he will not apply, prefering to stay in Perth
