Yes Wishiwas, Kersbrook too good on the day in (relative terms) what must have been one of the worst performances by Maccy for some time. No doubting that Kersbrook were favourites but their was nothing in their respective form to suggest a victory of that magnitude - 19.13 to 2.9. Very interesting to see Blackwood two's get over the top of Echunga and Kangarilla accounting for Birdwood to the tune of 16 goals. Given the scoreline of the Torrens Valley V Eagles clash, I guess we can take it that it was an away game for the Eagles.

Interesting also to see Mt Lofty just get over Uraidla by a goal and the return of former junior Adam Klun to Onkaparinga Valley in their win over Bridgewater. Know that the club asked about his availability in the offseason but Klun decided to push on down at Sturt and I can only assume that him not getting a game yesterday (at Sturt) when the club had several players out was the last straw for him.

Lofty had a three goal lead at half time. Lofty lost two players quality players in the first half then Uraidla came out all guns blazing and hit the front. Lofty kicked home with the wind and yes just two strong. Great game to watch and both sides have some awesome footballers. Great crowd and a real buzz for Hill League football.
Good to see a bit of old fashioned biffo towards the end.
Brad Burch best followed by Loffler who has awesome hands whether wet or dry. Broadbridge dropped from Port gave Uraidla heaps of problems down back.

yep, great crowd that braved the weather at heathfield. Damn shame about the weather. 70% of match played between the halfback lines, creeping into fwd lines occasionally. Not much in it. All good players negated each other. And with Hahndorf losing, A bit more breathing space near the top of the table.

Is that the same Broadbridge that played for Jervois, and then i beleive North Adelaide. If so I can understand why he gave them problems, just don't understand why he could never break into the League sides.

No he is the younger brother of Troy Broadbridge. Alot smaller and very quick. I dont think he was at Jervois but I could be wrong.
I agree with Just quietly it was very much a one on one game with blokes negating each other.

I think Maccy had heaps of injuries but I didn't expect Kersbrook to smash them like that.

I didn't expect Maccy to win, but i thought it would be a little closer. Yeah, Just Quietly the Echunga result is a big upset.

If that were true, what a terrible rule! Just choose the best. If that contains 2 or 12 Country players, so be it.

Could not agree more JQ, spoke to a few blokes the other night and they all agreed, if the country players are not good enough, so be it. On the other hand if country contains a dozen players of the highest standard, then they should all be picked. Common sense isn't all that common.

John Pym was an excellent player wasn't he.
Spent some time with Woodville in teh SANFL I believe and then after leaving Mt Torrnes played at Hahndorf I think.
In relation to the Association side, I would have thought that Carter from TV was a certainty if he is fit.

I think sprinter nailed it when he said Troy Broadbridge GWW. I am certain I watched him in the River Murray, and fairly certain he played for Jervois.

I was talking to a mate on saturday who knows Pagey. He said that Carter, Chad Dawe and is it Dianelle should make it. Lots of kids from the Country league made the under 17's.
