WhiteTips wrote:thanks steiger and AG - did an injury in the second quarter playing in the middle, then went and did the riccuito special and slutted in the foward line, felt like a WCP special! we should've won by 10 goals we kicked 21 legitimate points for the day, we play tumby at home after mortlock and i know the club is looking very forward to it.

welcome pacer - will be great to finally here another side to the GFFL stuff

Thanks Tips - Yes EU v Tumby after mortlock should be a cracker. Both sides now fielding different line ups - Tumby had 8 players in Saturday's side against Yeelanna that were out injured or suspended against Lock. Return of former player David Butler form WA on Saturday was outstanding - gives us some real hardness in the middle, whilst Steve Atterton from Whyalla is getting better, (fitter), each week - can play.
Looking forward to the match ....

Welcome aboard Pacer, The Mighty Bomber?? your not travelling so well old mate. The Bombers form has gone off like your achilles.

Agree with TRR, Minya had a super game on Saturday and cut Tasmans to pieces, did think that young Sheehy would have at least got the 2 votes though. He is bloody quick off the mark and a good kick.

Thought the parking wasn't an issue either and once the teething probs get fixed I think it will all come together pretty well.

Ravendale looks like it can be good, at the moment though it still needs a lot of work. Scoreboard and a fence should be priorities. Also reckon the coaches boxes should be on the same side of the oval as the clubrooms. And hopefully the grass takes soon  . Bit more work and it could turn ouy okay, maybe.

I don't doubt the respect.
By shaky I was referring to the club's losses, when some guys were obviously out.
I have played footy with him, his nouse is very handy. No wonder he played.

Hows the respective Mortlock teams looking? could we have a weather forecast btb? looks as though it could be a tight Mortlock given the conditions. Injuries have hit Lincoln City at the wrong time, whats the goss rossco? whos going to come up?
Be interesting too see how teams prepair and re-couperate with 30 mins off before they have to warm up for the next game. (when they have 1 game break between games)
Mortlock odds
GF $2.40
MW $3.00
EE $5.00
LD $8.00
LC $31
FW $51

Paul Boxer has about faced on me and will play if selected, he's a footy junky and loves these matches!! He did state that he would rather it be like State of Origin so he could still play for Districts, he's not keen on the Maroon with the poofy white shorts!!

The Times scribe picked 0 out of 3 winners on the weekend whats everyones thoughts?
How did the Bgrade games go over the weekend.... Marble Range dominated an undermanned LS not allowing them to score a goal.. LS look as though they will be missing the finals on that showing, whereas MR look to be building up to something. I was impressed with them.
Sad too see wcp languishing in the Bs... after a distinguished career at the top level he should retire or get fit and serious!!! Eski had beter play a couple of games soon to make sure he qaulifies!!!

BTB ... Saturday was his 2nd game back. Basically I think he just found it hard to watch.
Might add, he has been good in his 2 games. Not racking up huge numbers stats wise, but playing a positive role directing traffic in the forward line and also kicking a couple himself. He rarely wastes touches when he gets it.

I queried the GM at Souths on his tipping results for the weekend. He replied ' Just like when I'm at the Disco, always go the roughies!!' I appreciated that, was quite funny!!

And don't worry about my form Grub, we're not even at the first furlong yet......

Wondered how long it would take him to pull the boots on. I see marty played for the Eagles as well...kicked 4...how did he look? Speaking to him on Saturday morning at kids footy and he was very worried about the Coad influence...the big fella bagged 11 so it was well founded.

ML still looked pretty dangerous. I think it would be fair to say that he struggled with the pace of the game, but as you pointed out, he kicked 4 and came off at 3/4 time. Coady was good Saturday, hands where strong all day. He booted 11.5 and spent probably the equivalent of a full quarter in the ruck throughout the game.

Well with Mortlock nearly here ... here is this weeks quiz?
1. Who from Marble Range made the EP sqaud in 2005?
2. In 98 Name 4 players that made the team of the carnival from Lincoln Districts?
3. First name of the Rynne that played in the 96 Great Flinders winning Mortlock?
4. In the 96 Mortlock who won the Monday Morning ‘Spew’ (first game Monday) KI v Woomera?
5. The 2000 Magpies Cup Carnival had joint B&Fs one from LC and one from LD, one is on an AFL list and one plays in PL still? Who are they?
6. Who coached Lincoln Districts in that year U15? Former Lincoln City/tasman player.
7. In the 2000 Mortlock a former PLFL player kicked 5 goals for Flinders on the Saturday who was he? (wasn’t a key position player)
8. In 2000 Micheal Edwards won the Bampton Medal, there were 6 runners up… name 2 of them? (none from PL)
9. Lincoln City won the 2004 Mortlock who won the Bampton? Best U21? Leading goalkicker?
10. How many goals in 2000 Mortlock did Troy Olsen kick on the Monday?

Interesting comments from Waybacks coach saying it was good to play on 'our homeground'!! Was that tounge in cheek or do Waybacks think they will be staying there? Was that the right comment to make- giving it was Tasmans buig day-? Wouldnt he have been beter mentioning a couple of young kids or something? Your thoughts?
