A proper scoreboard needs to be added to the ground if there is to be regular footy played there (which I hope there is). However, in addition to the scoreboard in the north-eastern pocket, there was a temporary electronic scoreboard in the south-eastern pocket as well as the ground announcer saying the score after each goal over the loud speaker. If you couldn't keep track of the score, fair chance you can't keep track of many things.

You could not hear the loud speaker from the outer nor could either "scoreboard" be seen from the outer.
Yes we did keep track of the scoreboard but considering I can go to amateur games and not have to worry keeping track of the scoreboard I shouldn't have to at an SANFL game.
Its no blight on the Eagles so don't take it the wrong way, its a blight on the SANFL who ran the whole kit and kaboodle yesterday.

Yes a real scoreboard is needed, but who is going to pay for it, when there is only going to be 2 - 3 games a year? The one there was basically could not be used, like trying to get up onto it was a major problem.

Talking to a red coat at work this morning, he said he is sure that the Eagles were responsible for the scoreboard on Saturday, the SANFL arranged all the catering etc. (including the boot leather disguised as a steak sandwich)

But where did the red coat get his/her information from, cause the SANFL was the lot who where running the show, necause it was a netual game. The scoreboard that we have was at Woodville in one of the halls in the stands.

I would think that both Eagles and the SANFL would help out with the cost of the scoreboard, because the SANFL will probably have a game there that doesn't feature Eagles at all next year there. (And two of the games this year are deemed neutral anyway)

That electronic scoreboard said the SANFL + West Torrens Council welcomes you to Thebby. I'd say for the game on Saturday the SANFL was responsible for everything.
