what is happening at Pooraka.
after 9 rounds and teams have played each other they were sitting top 8wins 1 loss and cruising. looked to be the side to beat. since then they lost to Mitcham, beat Pultney just, lost to PAOC, drew Lutheran, lost to Unley , smashed by fitzroy. must be the worst performing side in the last 6 rounds. now injuries can only be an excuse for so long, i seen them play last week and still had a good side on the park. Maybe they need to pull there fingers out and give something back to Ditts who has given his all for that place. Maybe they arent as good as the players thought? I dont know but cum on turn it around or another season gone and a lost oppurtunity to get back to a place they belong.
Can any Pooraka boys enlightn me on whats happening.

Pooraka not the only ones to drop off i would say haven are the same as Mitcham and Portland have replaced haven and rakas in the top 3.

there was some talk about senior players working in the mines?
Or has there been a walk-out of players?
I heard that 1 senior player was sacked from the club....

I wouldn't say havens have dropped off pooraka maybe slightly. it's just the evenness of the division. Unley have a knack of knocking off higher placed teams as per previous years.

I heard No$$$ trying to pay players with alternative sources such as Fresh Produce and Flea Market Items. Hmmm

There is no doubt about it, Pooraka are definately struggling at the moment. A few key players out through injury has hurt us in the past few weeks, but that is not an excuse for some of the performances. A few senior players are down on form at the moment and unfortunately with with young age of the majority of our b grade players, it is hard for them to keep up with the pace of A grade footy when they come up to cover our injuries. Hopefully in a few weeks we can settle the side down and still be a force in the finals.

makes sense FF- injuries & lack of depth contributing to a slump in form.

I wouldnt be too worried if your from a Top 5 side & have a loss or 2 between now finals as the Top 5 is set is just where all them 5 teams finish within it that is of interest now!

Is always harder playing some teams out of the finals race on their home deck like Unley for example who are still fighting relagation so i would take too much out of North Havens loss as they week before they beat us quiet convincingly & are still 1 of the most damaging sides we have played this year & if Pooraka get a few players & their confidence back over the next few weeks i wouldnt be taking them too lightly come finals either as they were the form side of Div 4 a few weeks back!

As for the other end of the ladder Pultney are gone but who will join them in Div 5 next year?
IT'S US AGAINST THEM!!!

Joompin, I'm with you all the way son!

You gooses havin a go about tackling players too hard and that you should do your best to minimize the damage of a tackle!!

Idiots

Did anyone of you clowns stop and think how long you have to make a tackling decision - not even a second! you go in as hard as you can and try and stop your opponent from using the ball effectively.

When 2 side step over that white line you're at WAR and take no prisoners in my oppinion. Just think back to the glory days at the Port Magpies. Do you think Greg Phillips would stop and think about a tackle.

Iwas tackled in a Prelim and had my vertabrae fractured, my spleen ruptured and my kidney bruised. Spent 7 days in hospital and didn't report a thing to the amateurs. But thats footy!

Haha, long way from flag favourites for us. We are more than happy at this stage to be assured of playing finals.

Competition still wide open, Pooraka only 1/2 game from second spot. If any of the top 4 lose a game , they can drop 4 spots !!!

Fitzroy and Unley are causing havoc !!!

this weeks game between unley and you should be an iinteresting one.
just to see if unley have found form and got all there players on the park at once but a little to late or wheather there wins over pooraka and haven were just due to the opposition playing badly and having players out. good to see the competion so close this year.

However you opinion of lutherans is delusional. Mathematically they might still be able to make the finals but they're awful. I rate them about par with Pulteney.
Fisty can you please make sure Felch is taking his meds.

You can bag Lutheran because you dont need to play them again...

We only beat them by 1 point last time, and were very lucky to win.

I think if you look back I have made comments about Lutherans being average before we played them the second time. They were kind enough to confirm my theory that they were s***t. Am not putting them down just giving a fair assessment. As for you guys only just beating them lets not go blaming lutherans for a bad performance by you guys. I think you will find when you play them next that it won't be quite so hard.

Good work on trying to give Lutherans some amo to fire up this week against the Portland boys. I was just about to say that Unly are the softest side in div 4 and their win on the weekend was pure luck. They wont win this weekend!! They are s**t!! :D

humble pie is best served cold...never underestimate unley at the end of the year when relegation looms..they find something every year
