Not a happy Pocketrocket....

Well I overheard the two umpires discussing the paper work after the game and agreed on the one less goal than the Mitcham management claim......... so it will be interesting to see what happens here.

massive few weeks of footy coming up for all concerened

What bugs me is that it was our home game (pulteney) and yet Mitchem are allowed to submit scores!?!?!?! By the rules it is the home side who has to submit scores not the visitors. They got in quick deliberately in order to add the extra goal. Dodgy bastards!!

still an unhappy Pocketrocket...

Very interesting last few rounds coming up as the Top 5 is far from set?

Paoc, Mitcham & Adelaide Uni still all a chance of Top spot?
Paoc, Mitcham & Fitzroy all to play each other in this period?
Portland & Putlney still fighting out or 5th spot & play each other in round 17?
IT'S US AGAINST THEM!!!

Earlier in the year, they lost a few games (Unley & Pultney) they should've won...
It would seem they had a mid-sesaon slump.
Also, Pultney were competitive early on, then have dropped away...

Personnel changes Punky, thats the main reason. Some quality midfielders now playing, and some more will push back in there over the next couple of weeks.

A gun full forward has been added too !!! Kicked 8 on the weekend, had 5 in the first quarter !!!

I dont think alot has changed
a few new players
including one star that has played reserves before, has been out the game for a while so he is having a big result up forward ATM.
The coach is working them a bit harder on the track
with the C's staying on the track later on some nights doing a little bit extra!
I also think there is a good balance of players that are capable of playing B's now having to have a run in the C's
Its always a good thing when that is happening, shows that a club has good depth.

haha, so in summary
make sure you stop the force up forward!!!
but then again he is almost unstopable :D
kicking goals from all parts of the ground and running havoc in the forward 50!

The Pulteney Portland game is likely to be another ripper.

Looking forward to it.

As far as im aware it was a one off, so wont happen again. Our president Andrew McRichie is their manager so he organised it as a fundraiser for the club. May happen again in future but cant say.

not sure if Francou is one of his clients but is a joint Number one ticket holder with Boof and he tells a great story that he once got 37 touches in a SANFL reserves game with Centrals then never played again.........

Another big weekend for the Portland boys. Get a win Saturday and we could realy look at stamping a spot in the five. Mind you we would need some things go our way. With both A's and B's looking good for the the finals selections will give he C's some good B grade players. Last week was excellent with with Meegs blowing Lutheran away in the middle and Riggers showing class. Delivery to the forwards was quick and sharp. Real good signs for us guys. Looking forward to what will be on Saturday. Go the thunder.

yeah it is. we are going to be the only ones at fault if we cant win tomorrow or not make the finals. Got some good lads back again this week and training was good all round. If my thoughts are correct we should win this one by 10.

Fitzroy v Prince Alfred- tough game here (for Fitzroy), PAOC should be way too strong. 10 goals +
Adelaide Luthran v Mitcham- Mitcham should account for AL quite easily. 15 goals +
Unley v Portland- If Portland can't win this.... 15 goals
North Haven v Pultney- Chance for an upset is on the cards here, however, the withdrawl of Duncs from the NH line-up dents my confidence. NH by 4 pts
Pooraka v Adelaide Uni- AU will win. 20 goals.
