Talk on any country footy league or club from the SA Country area

Defined boundaries??? Tell me where you think the Blackwood boundary should go?? Boundaries are impossible in the HFL. Give the points system some time to kick in. Its not going to work immediately because some recruits have been at clubs for a number of years and are only 1 point. Lets see how these clubs get on when those players give it away. The boundary system might work in some areas but the points system is Australia wide. I think its the most positive step this league has taken in a long while!

Well said. Possibly the most sensible things said in relation to the topic. Its taken other leagues a number of years to find the points system effective but it is a proven equalising method! Everyone but the naive knew that from the beginning. Give it time and develop juniors

Yeah, they are all weak hillbilly, therefore the bottom line is clubs will take advantage of the p***weak HFL and its' toothless tiger. Not a lot of good ideas re management out Cally way. Has anyone heard Red on the field? Knocking all in his path with his demeaning stuff whether it be from 100 metres or in the change rooms. Presumably being now, as a suspended official, being paid as a player per goal? Hey look, if Cally had any nuts they would take him off the payroll. Problem is that beggars cant be choosers....A club with huge prospects which overlooks the bleedin' obvious! Glad I'm past this Godforsaken game and all its' p[olitics!

Kersbrook looking the goods so far with impressive win over a lacklustre Echunga. Thought the Deez might have put up more of a fight, but perhaps the 6 day break didn't help their cause. Steve Pollock impressive with 7 majors on debut.

The first week of the finals should read

Kangarilla vs Torrens Valley (Qualifying Final)
Echunga vs Nairne (Elimination Final)

Meadows to miss finals narrowly and the Kersbrook with the first week off.

Any chance that a current Country Division player from another club could be coaching Nairne next year?

Gee the rumors are flying already for next year with new clubs joining the leauge and who is going to coach who and who is playing where. We haven't even finished this season yet. Coaches most likely to go after this season the bets are one. My likely tip
Nairne, Cally, Gumeracha, Macclesfield & Meadows will all have a new coach next year. But for my tips this round.

Echunga Vs Torrens Valley - TV although Echunga will come out firing after a very dissapointing effort last week, it will be close but they will not win.
Meadows Vs Kersbrook - Kersbrook by over 35 goals.
Nairne Vs Gumeracha - Nairne by over 20 goals
Macclesfield Vs Kangarilla - Kangy By over 30 goals.

Pretty easy round of tipping only upset will be if Echunga do get up over TV but unlikley.

How is everyones Ovals looking this year coming Up to finals. Anyone heard any tips on where the Grand Final will be this year - Unlikely be at Echunga again one would think.

With all of the rumours going around what are peoples thoughts?
I'm not very familiar with the Hills league but we have Aldinga in our Comp andhonestly even I think they would be making a good maove. As I've read on here before your league concentrates on the family side of things and prides itself on good country footy, I hear thats exactly what aldinga wants. What do you think if they were allowed to enter your competition?

What about the other rumourson caoches changes, do you think Meadows/Cally and Nairne will have new coaches? If so why?

C'mon lets get some honest thoughts in here no tip toeing thats what this forums for.

come on bf bit harsh on meadows even though been beaten pretty easy the last few weeks cant really compare to the other three clubs. no excuses but had their fair share of long term injuries this year. you put ty maidment, levi bailey to reid boys & ryan hunter back into that team cant tell me they wouldnt play finals. meadows wont be looking for new coach next season, unfinished business.
