well if somebody contacted the authorities over this issue, then where have they been when other issues have been discussed and i dare say at a lot worse then this current situation.

if its GRSA who are not impressed with what is being said, well the truth hurts.

Yes they need to have certain standards in place with kennelling, but when you have two respected vets give reference as to how well your dog was being treated then that should be enough.

the problem is Rylesy, you dont have 100 d0gs running 3 times a week,, they are not injured when they race, and they are certainly treated a lot better then a former murray bridge trainer.

obviously GRSA, are not interested in having new people get involved in the sport as owners/trainers etc, despite what they say.

GRSA are a joke, they always have been and always will. greyhound racing in this state is well and truly ****.

lets hope that the greyhounds dont end up the same way as basketball when the admin retire to the sunny beaches of the gold coast.

RK - if you don't say anything to defame GRSA and don't have a licence in the state, as a punter and owner, you are entitled to an opinion and you are also entitled to share that opinion with others.

They can't gag you because you let others know what they have done....
If you say no more on the topic, then they win and we can't and shouldn't have that.

I , I can understand why they want you to have it in a kennel theres the problem of them getting into food etc when not confined swabbable materials such as teabags in the bin etc, But there are extenuationg circumstances havent you just moved house?

an attractive young lady of a trotting family who knows of this site & works at angle park may have seen it & passed it on.............this is purely my thoughts by putting 2 & 2 together but i could be wrong

I have been in this new house less than 2 weeks. My dog has been swabbed while being trained from inside my home. SWAB came back ALL CLEAR!

You need to comply with the code of practice and rules to train greyhounds from your current address. Furthermore it has been brought to my attention this issue is being discussed on a website. I am aware that you made a complaint recently about comments in relation to you on a web site. Should stewards determine that these comments are detrimental further action may be taken.

The complaint i made was in regards to a greyhound forum where another trainer made rude derogatory comments about me that were both degrading and PLAIN LIES.

What did GRSA do about my complaint NOT 1 **** THING!

YET i tell the truth and guess what THEY want to shut me up.

I have taken numerous photos on the condition of my dog is in while living inside as well as where he lives and what beds he sleeps on. He HAS been swabbed so there is NO ISSUE in regards to that.

The support i recieved on track tonight from NUMEROUS OWNERS and TRAINERS and other MEMBERS in regards to this situation has really been great and NO i will no longer be SILENCED.

If they want to SHUT ME UP then they are badly mistaken.

I wasnt saying that you would have a posotive swab, I was just saying it increases the risk and if GRSA knowingly let you keep a dog in a non secure enviroment they wouldnt hve a leg to stand on in godforbid he did get into a bin or similar, they like to cover their own arses, So much food that is innocent to us is swabbable to dogs EG, Cape seed bread (poppy seeds) cocoa pops, tea bags, milo, energy drinks one of the powerades even now has caffiene in it, panadol, etc etc

I totally agree with you Vicgirl which is why while he is inside we take the necessary precautions to make sure he doesnt have any form of access to bins, food etc.

Our bins are kept out the front of the house where he cant get to.

There is no food etc that he could possibly get to.

This same Director was digusted and amazed when they found out the decision that was handed down. They honestly believed i would be granted at least 1 week to either build new kennels or to seek a new trainer.

BUT my reply was WHEN HAS COMMON SENSE EVER BEEN USED.

I didnt hear from 1 person at the track last night that agreed with this AMAZING DECISION!
IN FACT the support i was given was brilliant and has renewed my will to take this one a lot further.

There are now a few MEDIA outlets that are interested in doing a TRUTHFUL story on how i trained a GAWLER PRODUCE FINALIST from inside my own home. WELL wont there now be a quirky end to this story!!

WORDED ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!

WELL WELL WELL.

After just under 2 weeks i have had to go to the trainers house and pick up AWESOME RYLES last night.

Even though i have stated previously he is NOT and NEVER will be a kennel dog as he just wont settle down when placed in one. I did what i was made to do and sent him to another trainer so he could be kenneled. I spent today at the vets as he now has numerous physical problems and even worse PSYCHOLOGICAL problems. He is now on tablets for at least the next 3 months as he is a nervous wreck. He also has numerous cuts and was covered in blood when i picked him up due to the fact he would continuasly try to get out of the kennel even though he was hurting himself and causing himself obvious pain. He refused to eat or drink. He destroyed all his beds and blankets he was given.

So what am i left with just 2 weeks after having this dogs racing record read 1st, 2nd, 1st, 2nd, 2nd in his last 5 starts before falling in the final of the Gawler Produce Stakes.
Im left with a blubbering mess of a dog that is going to take endless amounts of TLC just to get back to his normal good health. A dog that is now prescribed tablets just so he doesnt fret all day and become more of a nervous wreck than he already is.

NOW by no means can or will i blame the trainer i sent him to as he tried him in 4 different kennels both inside a kennel block as well as outside in those kennels but nothing was ever going to help. SOME DOGS are just PEOPLE DOGS and need the attention and affection of people.

If people thought i was ANGRY before then by F***EN HELL they should see me now.

I honestly thought GRSA would of had the best interest of the dogs at heart and actually care about the condition and health of the dogs that help pay their wages. BUT NOT ANY LONGER they seem to be heartless when it comes to matters like these. I had to explain to members of the general public today while i was outside the vet why my RACING GREYHOUND looks as though he has been abused and beaten. NOT 1 of these people could understand WHY I WAS FORCED to remove a perfectly healthy dog from inside a loving home and place him in a concrete floored 2 metre square kennel.

About time GRSA actually held random kennel inspections cause i know of alot of kennels that dont meet their SO CALLED STANDARD REGULATIONS. BUT as if this would ever happen they dont want BAD PUBLICITY NOW DO THEY.

NOW in saying all this i have more than likely guarenteed that i will be called into an inquiry but that isnt such a bad thing anymore. I want to see the looks on these decision makers faces when they look at the photos i have of the current condition of my poor dog. I think it may be time to send these pictures to all media outlets and just let people know EXACTLY how these poor dogs are made to be kenneled. HOW THE FRICKEN HELL can a trainer with close to 100 dogs look after those dogs anywhere near as good as i can look after my 1 solitary greyhound. If i lose my license over this article so be it BUT i will guarentee people know exactly what is going on in this industry.

I am currently emailing PAUL MARKS for a complete answer to my questions and for an honest response to what has happened to my dog. NOT expecting much of an answer apart from there are guidelines we have to go by.

YES i will be seeking legal advise and YES i do believe media coverage is now warranted.

I can honestly say i broke down today after leaving the vets. Looking into my dogs eyes i cant say how many times i have apologized to him. Dogs dont deserve this type of treatment.

To make it worse ive had to try to explain to my 4 young kids why this has happened to our dog.
