weiring,(18) first choice 19's ports player 2 bog's in 4 games of A'2, ave 5 a game in 18's
Deurdan,(19) three BOG's in A's always in the best super talent (much better than Rory)
Moody,(19) dominated games he played with us, now playing regular ressies at port
phillips,(18) played first 11 games of A's before doin his groin, 18's Captain
Hoods,(18)(16) unbelievable for there age and size,as tough at it as any in the comp

Devries,(17) first choice port 17's player who played first 12 games with us after knee injury
&with a inder 18's team thats sittin at the pointy end of the table, id find it hard to believe
any1 in Div4 would have the young talent comin throu that Haven do at the mo IMO

if haven can keep this group together they will eb a force in the higher grades in 3-4 years
Portland had a similar team come through in 2004 and now we are starting to reep the rewards of retaining so many under 18 players from that team!
What killed us was the 13 A grade players that walked out at end of 2005
If we had have retained them with the youth we haev now
who knows we could have been.

In reference to the hoods
they are tough for there size and age but still no where near the hardest blokes in the comp!
give them a few years and they may well be though!

I agree, a good bunch, but can i ask a question without this turning into 'We are better than you !' argument.

How many of those actually came through Haven's junior footy club ? I was told the youngest Hood is still actually a registered U16 player at Port Districts.

that doesnt really matter, weve got them at the right age. :D

It is a credit to you blokes to get them there, i agree.

I would think that U18's loves playing footy full stop, no matter where it is. Blokes at that age have to enjoy it, or they just wont play. Too many other things to attract their interest...

The challenge now is to keep them there. But im sure you know that.

Not so sure about the U18's coach being 'Super' by the way...

No i dont, just think when you write things about players, you need to include the whole story. Not just the parts that suit your version.

Anyway, FC would get grumpy if an argument started, i dont want to upset her...
